This 1930s apartment in a wonderful building in Brussels, on the most fashionable street, Rue Antoine Dansaert, is a classy, sunny two-bedroom with 4 exposures and dozens of windows. The most famous singer in Belgium lives in the building too! It is quiet, central, sunny, and very well designed, everything you could want. It's an ideal place to spend a few days or months.
It is the top 6th-floor apartment and has views over all of Brussels. With enough space for 4 people, the serviced flat features two bedrooms, one bathroom with a toilet and one separate toilet, fully equipped kitchen with various cookware and appliances, plus a huge living room and separate dining room. There is a separate breakfast area in the kitchen, a winter garden, and Japanese maples all around the flat, which has a small balcony around all the windows.
The Rue Antoine Dansaert apartment is in Brussels' historic centre -- there are the best restaurants in Brussels right outside as well as the best shopping. The apartment is a 4-min. walk from Place Saint Catherine, famous for its food markets and restaurants, and a 10-min. walk from the Grand Place. It is right across the street from the new Marc Jacobs store which is opening soon. 6th floor, with elevator, and extremely accessible via public transport.

Keep it as you found it. Please keep the couch clean and do not eat on it please. Take care to fully close the elevator doors. Please no smoking inside the apartment.
This is just an amazing flat. I came in from Paris and as immediately impressed by how large, bright, stylish, and just beautiful the whole flat was. It's in a 1930s building and is on the top floor. You enter a stylish classic French type elevator and take it up. There are two apartments in each floor.
It has a full bedroom, and office with an day bed, a large couch and living room with wrap around windows, and a kitchen with eating table in the kitchen. The one full bathroom has the original 1930s bathtub and sink and while not new, it's beautiful. The kitchen has a great Smeg refrigerator and was clean and bright.
The flat was clean and they were kind enough to leave breakfast from a local French bakery which was so nice.
It's not a prefab flat or new building, but it's classic and beautifully decorated. If you are looking for a stylish and centrally located apartment on Brussles most famous fashion street this is the place.
Great communication with Sarah and her stand in to greet us did well even though he was ill. Very good location and lovely flat. Perhaps better shower wouldn't go amiss.
We were stayed at 3 people for a weekend. We did not get the chance to meet with Sarah
Location perfect, great living room, quiet appt, smooth check in and out, nice restaurants around; well done homemade "local map" with good spots (Strofilia the best Greek food I've ever had); parking available next door;
...but the rest of the flat did not meet our expectations:
kitchen could not be used at all (no water) and poorly equipped (no coffee machine)
No TV Channel on the TV,
bathroom is old and needs to be updated;
cleanliness uncertain (bathroom sink half clogged, dirty switches in the toilets and entrance, dusty coffee table)
the "sofa bed" is so uncomfortable: I felt sorry my friend slept on a mattress on the floor (like camping), and we had to fix the curtain the first night (the left side was folded down; we managed to hang it back up... Not exactly a fun thing to do when you come back at night from restaurant),
flat description was updated in January after guests remarks, but I booked in December and at that time was described as 2 bathroom, so not exactly what we found at check in.
Price is on the high side (417€ for 2 nights 3 pax), so are guests expectations. We'd rather book a hotel next time
The perfect apartment, in the perfect location. Everything was exceptional. Tons of light, a huge space, a wrap around living room, great dining room and kitchen, huge bedroom, and fantastic office. Everything was clean and very well designed. Highly recommended.
Hi Florence, shame that you are so unsatisfied. If you read our previous reviews, you will notice that we have never had a complaint about the apartment; however, I do not understand some of your comments since thy are simply not true - especially those about the kitchen being under equipped and about the bathroom. Anyway, I am very disappointed that you have been smoking in the apartment. The living room smelled really badly when I entered. Also, you closed a ventilation (the upper window) in the lavatory so that humidity appeared on walls. Also, during your stay, a leak appeared under the sink in the kitchen and you never communicated this with me or with Goran, but let the water leaking?! It does not matter that you broke something etc, but it matters to say it.
And, it is true, there was a miscommunication at the beginning and we offered you to cancel the apartment and to find another solution... but you said that all is fine... I think you preferred our price, space, light...
Did you look at the picture? It is like that but far more spacious than it seems. We stayed here for a couple of nights in a very nice and warm weekend in October. A really good deal! It's a very nice apartment on the sixth floor where you can look over the roofs of the nearby houses. Your host will tell you where the good part of Brussels centre are.
As a matter of fact we found a really nice place to eat breakfast nearby as well as a good Italian restaurant. Not being able to pay with plastic is not even a nuisance. Very nice and polite people.
Next year the same convention is in Brussels again. No questions asked, Sarah, if it is available I would be happy to rent it again!!!
I moved to Brussels from NYC in 2007, and have been loving this wonderful quirky city ever since. The central location is perfect for traveling up a storm, it's wonderfully laid-back, and as a bona fide foodie, I must say I've found the best eats at the best prices in this town! As an avid traveler, I'm so happy to have found the Airbnb community, dedicated to making bopping around the world that much more fun, affordable and colorful. Thanks for being an Airbnb supporter!!
