Right in the medieval center of Bolsena, we have a beautiful restored house. The house is close to the wonderful and clean lake. So walking distance for bars, restaurants, the beach and a swim! Don’t forget about the famous Italian ice creams.
We are very close to the border with Umbria and Tuscany.

The space
When you enter the house through our wonderful front door, right on your left hand you will find the bathroom with walk in shower. The stairs made of natural stone have been there for decades. They will take you to the living and well equipped kitchen.
The house is restored with materials from the region, there are beautiful terra cotta tiles from Tuscany. Even in the old ceiling these tiles were used.
The upper floor has two double bedrooms and a toilet with a sink for shaving and brushing your teeth.

Where you’ll be

Bolsena, Lazio, Italy

Town center, near shops, restaurants, bars, beach, lake. All at walking distance. Don’t forget about the castle of Bolsena.
We have thermal baths, ancients towns and beautiful places in the vicinity.

Bolsena (scroll down for English)
Benvenuto a Bolsena, the town to which the lake of Bolsena owes its name. The lake is of volcanic origin, making it very deep and particularly clean.
The main city on the lake shines with its simplicity and modesty. Here you will find the long street that runs through the Centro Storico with small shops where local entrepreneurs sell their authentic products.
In the castle of Bolsena, from the fourteenth century, is a city museum.
Along the lake runs a promenade that is closed for car traffic on Sunday afternoon, so that everyone can stroll along the water. Because a typical Italian Sunday is all about family, food, seeing and being seen.
Along the promenade and in the town there are numerous restaurants where fish from the lake and the sea are on the map.
Bolsena is a bustling town, with a long summer full of events. From the feasts of Saint Cristina (23 and 24 July), where various scenes from the saint's life are reproduced, to a hydrangea festival in June, which wraps the city in the scent of hundreds of hydrangeas, to various concerts, street food festivals and the Giro d 'Italia for vintage bikes.
There is a lot to do in the area. The Via Francigena pilgrimage trail, which runs from Canterbury to Rome, crosses Bolsena. A beautiful hiking trail.
Furthermore, there are hot springs in various places nearby. A beautiful place is Saturnia, here is the Cascate del Mulino.

Samen met mijn man Richard woon ik sinds 2020 in Frankrijk.
