Our wonderful 65 m2 flat has three rooms: living room, bedroom and study, in addition to newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. The flat has wifi and cable tv and all eqipment is free to use. In addition to the double bed in the bedroom the appartment can accomodate for two extra guests sleeping on good air mattresses and the apartment is therefore very well suited for either a couple or a family.
The flat is situated in the trendy Nansensgade, a quiet street with many cool shops and cafes in the heart of Copenhagen. The central station, Nørreport, with bus, metro and train is only 5 min walk away. The parks of Kings Garden, Copenhagen botanical garden and HC Ørsteds park, as well as the lakes of Copenhagen are all within 5 min walk. Copenhagen's Copenhagen's main shopping area is 10 min walk from the apartment, and the amusement park Tivoli is 15 min walk. Supermarkets and cafes can be found within 100 meters from the apartment.
We spent a great time in this flat. It's a perfect location to discover copenhagen. It's really central und close to main tourist spots. The neighbourhood was quiet with nice cafes and lots of supermarkets. Siv and Alexander were really helpful and open. They responded really quick to our questions. All in all we highly recommend this flat.
My husband and I traveled to Copenhagen in May 2013, and since he lived in the city previously for 2 years he knew what a wonderful location this apartment was located in. Coordinating with Siv on the logistics of picking up/dropping off keys was so easy! As for the apartment....perfect...absolutely perfect. The pictures show a spacious, well lit, and wonderfully decorated apartment, and that's exactly what we got. The apartment is also very centrally located, and just a couple of blocks from the lakes, metro station, and an amazing market hall. We would most definitely recommend staying a this lovely apartment, and hope to stay here again during our next Copenhagen visit! Thanks Siv for everything!
Siv and Alexander are excellent hosts, from the first questions on airbnb to the check out, making sure everything is ok.
With my wife and our 8 months old son, we stayed 5 days in the appartment and we can only confirm what is said in the previous comments, it is THE best location!!! The street itself is great with many chic cafés and restaurants, a nice bakery just below, and it is close to supermarkets, the very nice market Torvehallerne and the orsteds park. It is few minutes from the metro station which goes directly to the airport although you don't really need metro to get around as main attractions are easily reachable by foot.
The only thing I would add in the flat is thicker curtains because at the time we visited copenhagen the sun was already high at 5:30 am so if you like to sleep in the dark, you may find yourself awake quite early...
Also, I'm not use to walk-in showers but it is a minor detail and apparently very common in Copenhagen flats.
All in All, I would definitely recommend anyone to visit Copenhagen and stay at Siv&Alexander's place.
Siv's apartment is in a great location! The airport is only 15mins away with the train/metro and its on the same line! There are alot of cafes and restaurants close by, in addition to grocery stores (Fakta). We loved the bakery on the ground floor of the building-delicious! The apartment itself was bright and very spacious (for the 2 of us). The only thing that annoyed us was the drain in the bathroom for the shower wasnt actually very practical-resulted in water going everywhere... Also a few things in the kitchen weren't clean. Despite these slight mishaps-Siv is a great host, very helpful and is awesomely friendly!!
Stylish apartment in fantastic location - Siv was helpful and friendly throughout, checking via text that we had arrived ok and were enjoying our stay, as well as leaving a full page of great recommendations when we arrived. The apartment is spacious and comfortable, big windows mean it is lovely and light, gorgeous on a sunny day. Importantly it was spotless, the bed is comfortable, and while it is minutes away from a number of chic cafes, restaurants and bars, the street is very quiet and peaceful.
Would absolutely recommend staying here, we had no complaints!
In brief: Great hosts, awesome location, cozy apartment, could have been a bit cleaner.
We found this apartment with only 1 week's notice (a previous airbnb booking had been cancelled by the host, so we had to find something else fast). Siv and Alexander were very helpful with the practical stuff and everything went smooth from start to finish. The location is great, right next to the food market with the city center in one direction and hip Nørrebro in the other. The apartment itself is very cozy and a great base to relax in. If there is one little negative thing, it would be the degree of cleanliness of the apartment: Everything we used from the kitchen (cups, plates, pots etc.) we had to wash first because it was slightly dirty; the place was a bit dusty all over; the towels were old and worn; and one of the duvet covers had what looked like blood spots/smears on it. (I know that the hosts had to leave on vacation shortly before we arrived and maybe they got out the door a bit too fast.)
Overall we had a great stay there though. If you want a place in one of the most lively locations in Copenhagen and don't prioritize cleanliness too high, this is the place for you. If you want something a bit more clean and sleek, I'd look somewhere else.
We are very surprised and sadden by the critical comments regarding cleanliness. We had ongoing contact with Janus and Melody and asked how their stay was and only received positive feedback. We do not agree that the kitchenware was not clean. Water in Copenhagen contains a lot lime, which may leave scale on glasses, pots, etc. but this does not mean that they are not clean. We cleaned the entire apartment (incl. washed the floor and all surfaces) on the day we left for vacation, a few days before Janus and Melody arrived, so a very little dust might have come afterwards. The towels are not new, but not at all worn down either and we could have informed them on where to find new if they had just asked. Regarding the duvet covers - we checked these when we got this critical comment and did find a stain on one of them (not from blood, but rust, which the washing machine in the nearest laundry sometimes leave). We had informed Janus and Melody on where to find clean sheets, so wished they had simply changed the sheets. In general we think this is matter of degrees of cleanliness one can expect, and in our opinion it appears as if Janus and Melody have extremely high standards and rather should consider staying in up-scale hotels.
Had a great time here. And it was exactly like it is advertised: "charming apartment in best location". Nice 3 room apartment with kitchen en bathroom. It's on a top floor, so it's a walk up, but it's spectacular. The apartment was clean and perfect, and the value was incredible. Nice Spot in great neighbouhood with good restaurants, bars and shops and an easy access to metros/train. I recommend this place to anyone. Siv was also very easy to communicate with.
We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights and its location is absolutely wonderful and practical, its in a cool neighborhood, close to the city center, subway, etc. and to an amazing market. The apartment itself has all the things one needs to feel at home. The host´s welcome sheet was full of interesting suggestions.
Siv and Alexander's place was amazing: in a fantastic location (Nansensgade) near coffee shops, restaurants and a grocery store, with a new market hall (Torvehallerne) within five minutes of the listing.
I was able to meet both Siv and Alexander and both of them were charming, gracious and absolutely perfect - they even left me some snacks to welcome me into their home!
If you're planning on visiting Copenhagen, I would definitely recommend Siv's place!
