I rented Melinda's place for my niece, who was making a detour in San Diego on her way home to Texas after a semester abroad in New Zealand. Melinda was extremely accommodating, super easy to work with, very responsive and all around great. My niece said she was great, helped her with rides to the beach when she could and was the perfect host. It was the perfect place to get over jet lag, see some friends and have a chill re-entry to the States. We would definitely stay there again if ever in the area. Thanks, Melinda!

Great location! We only stayed for 1 night and were out most of the time so we never actually met Melinda, but she was great at communicating and making sure we had everything we needed

Melinda kindly picked us from the airport (for $10) and gave us a tour around the surroundings of her neighborhood. If you intend to visit some of the local attractions, I'd recommend you to consider Melinda's as they are in the vicinity. Nonetheless, you'll often hear many planes fly over her place since it's near the airport. If the noise does not bother you, then it shouldn't be any problem. To be honest, my friend and I were a little disappointed upon reaching Melinda's because it was kinda different from what we saw on her page. The room was kinda dusty and everything was not in place upon arrival. But we were still glad to get an accommodation since we booked it very last minute (one day before we went San Diego).

Response from Melinda:
Hello Doris, as I mentioned, when you booked this room the night before; guests had just left and I needed to replace your sheets. The Airbnb photographers have been invited back for over two months, I was told that I must wait longer. For the price and food that you received; and considering that construction just ended here; I think that you got a good deal, and you are welcome to return. thx

Melinda was a really great, friendly host! She was so flexible and reliable at the VERY LAST MINUTE! How incredible is that? She welcomed me with open arms, her home was my home during my quick stay in San Diego. I truly appreciate her beautiful home and genuine hospitality. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip.

Melinda was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room matched the description and pictures. The breezes through the windows kept the temperature reasonable during the day and the night cool enough. The planes were loud, but I sleep hard and it didn't bother me. The house is a great location to get downtown, to the bay or stone brewery. I'd happily stay here again.
