About this listing
Located at the heart of Adams Morgan, yet not on the noisiest block, studio is ideal for both business and leisure traveler alike. It is right on Columbia Road a block away from 18th Street with all the restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Short walk to Metro stations on either Red or Green lines, Metro Buses right outside the building door, as well as two Bikeshare stations and plenty of Zip Cars.
The apartment is not cluttered and comes with a Sealy Posturepedic queen size bed, fully equipped kitchen with new appliances, extra large walk in closet as well as secure wi fi. (Please, note that the "cat" featured in some of the photographs is not a real cat, it is a stuffed animal. I am allergic to cat).
Please drop me a line if you have any questions.
Everything was exactly as described; no complaints at all. David was really nice in allowing me to stay past the official checkout time for a few hours before I caught my flight home.
This was my second time staying at David's and it was a great as the first. Everything was very clean and David is very easy to coordinate with. I hope to stay there again sometime.
My first airbnb experience- two thumbs up!
The apartment: just right. Small, very basic amenities, just what I needed as a crash pad during my conference (cheaper than the hotel!). Beautiful old, well-maintained building. Could hear other people coming and going in the building occasionally, but didn't hear any traffic or construction noise in spite of facing a busy street (though I'm used to tuning things out...) Check-in & check out were easy, with instructions from David a day or two ahead.
The neighborhood: quiet, safe. Great location (walking distance to the hot spots and my conference). David and I had a miscommunication about the availability of free parking- I checked the city's website and found street parking in most neighborhoods was restricted to two hours (from 7:30am to 8:30pm) unless you have a resident or visitor parking pass; and only residents can apply for a visitor pass. Asked if David ahead of time if he could provide the required visitor's pass, he didn't think it applied in this neighborhood. I found out when I arrived that all streets had signs posted, so I found a reasonably priced garage a few blocks from the apartment. ($20/day max). It all worked out fine but it was an expense I hadn't budgeted for.
David: immediately responsive to my messages, easy to deal with. Thanks for being a good host!
David was a great host! He gave very detailed instructions and the place was very clean when we arrived. The apartment is very airy and full of natural light! Plus it's a short distance from a lot of bars and restaurants, and finding transportation to the downtown area of DC is no trouble.
David was very responsive and provided easy to follow instructions for access. The studio was clean and the location is convenient for getting downtown or going out.
David's place was great, very clean and convenient. He was very responsive and make the whole process very easy.
The instructions David sent were very explanatory. The unit is clean but very basic. Nicer towels and bedding would be appreciated. This is expensive considering how basic it is.
