Jose heeft snel gereageerd op onze reservering en meteen enkele tips gegeven.
Jose welcomed us at the door to his charming apartment. He gave us helpful shopping and restaurant tips and wifi instructions. New elevator being installed. Steps a little steep with luggage. Apt quiet but close to main street where we caught taxis. We especially liked walking the parks, Mercado de San Miguel near Plaza Mayor for tapas/people watching, Thyssen Museum's impressionists and roasted pig dinner at Botin Restaurant, reputed to be oldest restaurant in the world. Feel The City free monument 2 hr walking tour is excellent. If you are over 65, always ask for Pensionista discount at museums, trains etc. Shopping at El Cortes Ingles dept store? Get 10 percent discount at their tourist office. Need wifi - pronounced wiffy - usually in museums, train stations, McDonalds, Starbucks but not always strong signal. Try your Spanish. People are kind and welcoming.
We did enjoy our stay in José's apartment very much and felt comfortable. It was extraordinarily calm at nights, neither cars nor neighbours to be heard. The Metro ALFONSO CANO nearby, the different Panaderias for the breakfast in the neighborhood plus the clean and lovely apartment made our stay a wonderful one.
We had a wonderful time in this lovely apartment in Madrid! José made us feel extremely welcome and was there to answer any questions we had. The apartment was just as described, and was a fantastic little gem in a vibrant and comfortable neighbourhood in Madrid. It has everything you need for a relaxing break away. There are great restaurants and bars right around the corner, which are incredibly popular and fun. I would definitely recommend this apartment. Muchas gracias José!
Jose was very accommodating; calling us early so we could drop our bags off. He provided a wealth of local knowledge indicting his favourite restaurants nearby. The flat was spotlessly clean and well equipped. A fantastic location with 2 metro stations minutes away. We might go again
Jose made us feel very welcome, and went out of his way to have the apartment ready for our early arrival. The place looks just like the pictures, and has everything you could possibly need. The nieghborhood is great, full of markets and great restaurants and we were able to navigate the Metro with ease. Madrid is incredible and we would definately stay here again. Also, Jose blog came in handy of things to see in Madrid, much appreciated.
This was my first Airbnb experience; - there is no doubt, couldn't have been better! I left José's flat sure in the knowledge that I will come back one day!
