Interaction with Guests
I always try to greet the guests and answer any questions. I'm usually at home. Usually the guests just text me if they need anything.
We have a quiet, country neighborhood where deer walk by at time. You can hear the red-tailed hawks and the coyotes at night.
Plenty of parking. There is a shuttle to our place from the Portland airport. Closest public transit is 2 miles. I can certainly give you a ride.
No smoking in house. Also discuss use of kitchen upstairs. I have
an extra room downstairs with a couch than is comfortable and can be made up into a
bed. If room is used it will be $20.00/night as an added rental charge. See description for more information.
We also have a large family room downstairs that is empty and used for yoga. It can
be used for larger meetings. We have table and chairs. We would negotiate if interested in space.
Prefer to have shoes off. No loud noise after 9pm.
Debbie was a lovely and accommodating host. We tried to set up a stay very short notice and it was no problem for her. The property is beautiful and there's plenty of privacy and space. We enjoyed chatting with her about Oregon and meeting her beautiful kitten. We only spent one night here but would have loved to stay longer because it was so cozy.
What a truly wonderful experience! Such a tranquil space. The room was so comfortable and every space so clean, thoughtfully considered and uncluttered. We will not hesitate to stay here again. And Deb was great--right there when we needed a little extra help with directions and so welcoming when we arrived. Everything is even better than described. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay Deb and we really look forward to stopping at your place again! Oh yeah, and did we mention the view--wow!
They were fabulous hosts, responding quickly to questions and providing great details.
Debbie was very accommodating to our later than expected arrival time. The place was very clean and well organized. A snack plate and beer were awaiting us upon arrival! The bed was very comfortable with fresh water waiting next to our bed. Arriving in the dark, we didn't even realize how beautiful the view was from our back porch. With the help of GPS the place was easy to find. Although we never met Debbie in person she was a great hostess and made us feel welcome.
Debbie's retreat was indeed that! At the top of a hill out in the country with beautiful views, yet 10 minutes to Salem. The space was very clean and up-to-date, well decorated with a large bedroom (comfortable queen bed), kitchenette and eating area plus a living room with sofa, chairs and 2 large bookcases filled with interesting topics. It felt more like your own apartment than a guest room.
Debbie was very welcoming, suggesting her favorite places to eat. and not at all intrusive. We enjoyed our stay.
A very nice space! The downstairs of a split level house, not a basement but an exquisitely lit bedroom with three large windows with North and West views of trees and a soft babbling stream. At late afternoon the setting sun streams in soft rays. A great place to meditate.
It has fast wifi and very comfy chairs and bed too. I didn't use the living space as it was, have an East window, not as well lit. But is looked comfortable.
I stayed 3 weeks and the only desired addition would have been a small kitchenette. For short stays it's perfect.
Debbie was very accommodating and respectful of privacy.
We've been married forever. We have a commercial glass business. Chris works that and I run the airbnb. It's been so fun to meet people from all over. Everybody we have are so nice!! I have a training in Horticulture. I worked in corporate tech. But for the last 23 years I've done bodywork. I do Therapeutic Touch mostly now. I also have 200 hr yoga teacher training so I teach some yoga. I try not to work too much. Love to travel and stay at airbnb places. Love movies, love to read, love to cook and eat. We hike so this year we are going to Yosemite and staying at airbnb homes. Love meeting people. We have lots of friends. Love traveling in the Pacific NW. Went to Costa Rica last year and yes, we stayed at airbnb places. Such a much more fun experience than motels, etc.
