We had a wonderful time at Deb's place in Salem. She was a gracious hostess who provided everything you might need - snacks, breakfast, laundry, and a clean and comfortable place with a beautiful view. If you are lucky enough to stay when she has a yoga class in the morning, she will let you sit in. I was very grateful for this after so many days in the car and my body screaming for some stretching! We did a little wine tasting close by. I would love to visit again soon.
My fiancé and I had a very relaxing stay with Debbie. The bed was so comfy and the linens so fresh and clean. There were even robes available! Very luxurious! It was a great getaway for a wedding weekend tucked in the country, but only 5 min. from stores and town. Thanks, Debbie!
Thank you so much for such a peaceful, serene, relaxing environment. It was just what I needed. When I visit Salem again, I will be planning on staying with you.
This was the best Air B&B I have ever stayed at. It had most of the amenities you'd expect from a hotel, and way more privacy. The space was great. I got a bed room, bath room, kitchenette, a deck, and sitting room all to myself. The best part for me was definitely the yoga room.
My host was fine with me coming in late the first night, and she left the door to my space unlocked. It was so nice after a crazy travel day to just let myself in and settle right in. I used the yoga space to stretch out and decompress, and then enjoyed the view and nature sounds from my deck before going to bed. I normally sleep with earplugs, but I didn't need them here; there were only nature noises, no cars or people.
Debbie was awesome; she didn't intrude on my privacy at all, but when I wanted to chat she invited me upstairs and made me feel very welcome and comfortable.
The space she provided was clean, quiet, spacious, and well stocked. There were plenty of all the things one might need to have a comfortable stay; pillows, blankets, soap, shampoo, toilet paper, towels, even a nice assortment of tea and cereal. There's also wifi and tv. I didn't use the tv (too busy), but the wifi was great.
I absolutely loved staying in a space with a yoga room. My trip was pretty stressful, but having that space made it so much easier to handle. The yoga space shares the entry hall to the private space, but for me that was no problem. The class that met during my visit was very quiet and didn't bother me at all. When I had time in the evening the space was all mine. I turned off the lights and did my practice to the setting sun, deepening blue, and silhouettes of trees. Priceless.
This will be my home-away-from-home for all future trips to the area. It is a really nice, calm, clean, well appointed space.
This is the perfect place to stay whenever you visit Salem! It was an easy, quick drive into town, well connected to surrounding areas. Rather than a horrid hotel in town, you have a beautiful home with a fabulous deck surrounded by nature.
Great communication of what to expect, directions, etc. We arrived late and it was no problem at all.....they left the light on for us!
The space is clean, spacious with lovely views. Everything is as described. The yoga room was perfect for stretching at night and we loved the offer the attend the class on Friday morning.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Beautiful home and wonderful host! Debbie paid so much attention to detail to our area that we truly felt at home. Very spacious accommodations, lovely outdoor deck, and so many little touches, including snacks in the fridge, teas, breakfast, and even an invitation to Debbie's yoga class. Wish we could have stayed longer!
