The place was beautiful and was surrounded by nature. It was clean and the house instructions answered any questions you might have. Unfortunately, we only had a short stay but if we are around Salem we will definitely come back.
We really loved staying here! This was by far my most enjoyable Airbnb experience to date. It exceeded all expectations! Very quite, beautiful location, easy to get to from the freeway. The hosts were sweet and gave us our privacy. I would highly recommend staying here. We ventured into a small town, Independence for a great dinner. Next time would love to schedule a massage with Debbie or take a yoga class. Thank you so much and I hope your husband is healing well after his surgery. Would love to come back as we are trying to make this a regular route north the see family.
My husband and I stayed for one night with our 3 month old daughter. Deb was great at responding to my messages right away, and the place was so nice. There was so much space! We really enjoyed the view of the trees from the room and the back porch. There was some oatmeal and cereal for breakfast in the morning along with tea and coffee. The host also recommend Thompson's Brewery for dinner, which was right down the road, and the food was excellent! Would definitely love to stay here again!
What a beautiful place to stay! My only wish was that I had more time to spend on the patio. We arrived late but everything was just as it was described. We drank wine on the patio, stargazed and listened to the frogs sing their symphony. Everything was very clean and things were in place. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
It was our first time using Airbnb and we couldn't have asked for a better experience at the Pacific NW Retreat! Debbie (your super host) is one of the most understanding and open minded people I've met in a long time! She was very attentive if we had questions or needed travel suggestions; we felt very comfortable coming and going from the private entrance as we needed. Let's not forget about the small details--the soft towels, beautiful view from the room, strong wifi, breakfast, and access to appliances was exactly what we had hoped for during our stay! My boyfriend and I definitely plan to stay there again in the future and would strongly recommend the Pacific NW Retreat to anyone looking to stay near Salem!
Very comfortable and spacious. Extremely clean and Debbie is a gracious host.
Debbie is a very gracious host, who went out of her way to make us comfortable, even though she had just learned her husband needed emergency surgery. Many hosts would have canceled. Not Debbie.
The space is clean and beautiful, the bed wonderful and the setting is glorious. Even though it is minutes from shopping, freeway etc, you really feel like you are "away from it all." You look out on trees and wake up to the smell of pines. We saw a deer pass by our porch and picked blackberries along the road.
We will definitely see if Debbie has space whenever we return to Salem to visit family.

Went to Costa Rica last year and yes, we stayed at airbnb places. Such a much more fun experience than motels, etc.
