This is our home so we would expect guests to give it the same respect they would their own home. And there are other people living there so to keep the noise level to reasonable and no loud music. No pets and smoking outside of the unit only.
I booked Robert's home for a work colleague staying in San Francisco from Australia and she absolutely loved her stay. I previously worked in the neighborhood and its one of the safest in the city. Lovely, quiet, great eats, and stunning views of the city. Also, Robert was super communicative and so kind. I would book his home again in a heartbeat. Thanks, Robert!
The apartment is extremely nice, modern, and well cared for. The back garden beautiful. Pictures don't really do it justice.
I also found the neighborhood to be great. Market, cafe, restaurants, and small music venue all a block or two away.
I'd definitely stay again!
Robert welcomed me upon arrival, and was happy to show me around his space. I had my parents staying in his place & they absolutely loved it. They made sure they had a bit of time each day to enjoy the garden space and found it to be such a great retreat from the active SF days. The space was comfortable and peaceful overall.
The neighborhood was also fantastic, we dined right on 18th St. three times over the course of their stay. Very easy for them to find parking and my mom loved being able to go right across the street for her coffees in the morning. They would both be happy to stay here again!
Robert was a lovely host and the basement/garden apartment was tidy and comfortable. I didn't get to use the garden much, but it was a nice view out the window. Robert promised privacy despite the lack of blinds, and he was correct — there aren't any other windows in sight, though someone more privacy-conscious might be freaked out by the inability to block out the windows. My only issue was with connectivity — the router at the top of the basement stairs wasn't strong for my phone to hold a steady connection from the bedroom, and the entire location was a T-Mobile dead spot for me.
That being said, Potrero is charming and Robert was exceedingly nice. If you're looking for a comfortable and quiet place to retire to in the evenings, check it out!
Robert's listing is lovely and super convenient to restaurants, shops and a launderette! I didn't get to use the lovely garden due to poor weather.
Myself and a work colleague, booked the accommodation the day before arriving and as we flew from Ireland with delayed flights we were in communication with Robert en route. The appartment was exactly as described and suited our requirements perfectly as we were working for four days in the vicinity with a five minute walk to work and back each day. The locality is very safe, has everything we required, good food etc and an easy Uber ride into the city.
