Angie did a really nice job of communication prior to our arrival and offered multiple great suggestions to make our trip fun. Highlights for the house:
- Certainly it was in a great location for access to a lot of Minneapolis sites
- Plenty of space for all our folks with a laundry room which came in handy
- Near to a super easy commuter bike rental station that we took advantage of several times
- Clean, clean house which was well stocked with all the basic necessities and the kitchen was surprisingly fresh and sized well
Some points to be aware of are that there is no large dining table to gather everyone around which would have been nice, but plenty of seating for conversations. The trains are frequent, but not very loud. We realized that they didn't blow the whistle ever near the house, so you just had that rumble of a train going by that was okay. Squeaky floors made us want early morning risers down in the basement rooms while late sleepers that wouldn't be walking around were upstairs.
This vacation was a really fun one for us and that included a 72 year old grandma down to two 14 year olds with lots of energy. Take Angie's suggestions to heart and if you get a chance, go to eat at La Grolla in St. Paul and also do a show at the Guthrie theatre. Two highlights of the trip for us.
The house was amazing! Brand new appliances, spacious rooms, and the neighborhood seemed very warm and welcoming! Everything we need was not to far of a drive to get to or even walk. And cab fare was about 11 dollars (one way) which was amazing especially when splitting it with other people. I would love to rent from this couple again. I would only have one complaint and say that the pictures do not do justice on how beautiful the home is and spacious! haha Oh and the backyard is perfect for yard games and even grilling out all tho we didn't because weather wasn't the best during our stay.
