About this listing
Lovely clean bright room with two single beds. See DETAILS. Angel underground 5 mins walk away. The 205 bus leaves from outside main line stations, Paddington, Euston, Kings Cross/St Pancras and Liverpool St to City Road 2 minutes walk from my home.
Lovely bright twin-bed room approx 9 x 15 in a two bedroomed flat/apartment with stunning views over London. There is a walk-in shower just along the hall. PLEASE DO NOT USE THE KITCHEN TAPS WHEN THE SHOWER IS RUNNING AS THE SHOWER WATER SUPPLY WILL STOP AND THE SHOWER WILL TURN OFF. It can take anything up to half an hour to get it going again which is very unpleasant for whoever was in the shower at the time!!!
Your bed will be made up with clean sheets and pillowcases. I do not iron my sheets, life is too short. One large and one hand towel are provided.
You have your own key so you can come and go as you please.
You are welcome to use the kettle, toaster, microwave, gas hob, electric oven and fridge, but NOT the washing machine. You can make tea/coffee when you like and I have a wide variety of organic teas available as well as traditional tea and coffee. NO SMOKING. There is an excellent launderette in King's Square, where the staff are happy to do a service wash for you. King's Square is a short walk away, a pleasant little area with a cafe and an excellent fish and chip shop. My favourite fish and chip restaurant is Kennedys just down Goswell Road and my favourite Indian Restaurant is Angel Curry House at the end of Chapel Street at the Angel. There is also a great Turkish restaurant in Chapel Street. All the main supermarkets are close by. Jamie Oliver has an Italian restaurant at the top of City/Goswell Road. His original restaurant "15" is on Old Street just a short walk down City Road . Our local Leisure Centre, Ironmonger Row, has reopened after major refurbishment and has wonderful facilities, a huge swimming pool, nursery pool, gym and spa offering all sorts of wonderful treats.

You share the shower room/kitchen with me. You can use the kitchen for eating and to store perishables, milk etc. in the fridge. Interaction with guests
This is my home and so I am available most of the time to help with queries about which tube or bus to get to various destinations. London buses and the tube are now cashless so you need to buy an Oyster card or travel card as soon as you arrive in the country.
I am happy to help with any aspect of your visit if I can. Please just ask.
My bedroom is off limits.
The Angel area is lovely with an abundance of restaurants/cafes plus lots of shops, many of which are also found in the West End. There are lots of lovely unique shops. There is Vue cinema complex and Screen on the Green on Upper Street. Sadlers Wells, the home of ballet is visible from my home. We have a huge Marks & Spencers (clothes and food) at Finsbury Square plus a smaller store at Angel. All our major supermarkets are represented at the Angel, Waitrose, Sainsburys, Tesco and there is a small Co-op supermarket just the other side of City Road so you are spoilt for choice. There is a small Sainsburys along Spencer Street.
YOU MUST BUY A TRAVEL PASS OR OYSTER CARD as public transport is cashless. There is brilliant access to all areas of London from my home. The Angel tube station (Northern Line of the underground) is 5 minutes walk away up City Road. There are bus stops in both City Road and Goswell Road (Hall Street is midway between). The 205 bus in particular is useful. It can pick you up from the following mainline/underground stations, Paddington, Euston, Kings Cross/St Pancras, and Liverpool Street and drop you off in City Road a 2 minute walk to my home. The 38 bus will bring you to Angel junction from Victoria mainline station. The No. 4 bus from Goswell Road will take you to Waterloo station.
ALWAYS lock the main door when you come in or go out and check that it's locked. This applies even if i'm in.
DON'T use the kitchen taps when the shower is on as you will stop the water supply to the shower.
PLEASE take a moment to rinse the shower when you have finished showering.
Fire and CO2 alarms have been installed.
NO SMOKING anywhere in the building including E-cigarettes.
Please don't leave damp towels on the beds, there are hooks behind the door to hang them on.
I don't iron my sheets but they are of course spotlessly clean.
There is no need to make the beds on the day you are leaving as the sheets are stripped and laundered immediately.
CHECK OUT is 10am although this is negotiable. It is usually possible to leave your luggage and collect them later if you have a late flight and want to spend the day sight seeing.
Please wash any dishes or cups you use and leave them to dry in the dish rack.
No smoking including E cigarettes.
