Rest and relax in the Texas Hill Country at Gray Hund Acres. You’ll enjoy your stay at this unique and beautiful timber frame, rock farmhouse which sits on 17 acres. This home can accommodate 6 guests. Enjoy the breeze and sunset with a drink in hand, on 1 of the 3 porch/patios. The Blanco River and downtown are just a short 10-minute drive. You’ll love the views and peace and quiet at Gray Hund Acres.

The space
Upstairs is the master suite and has a king bed and TV/DVD player, with a large bathroom including a soaking tub and walk-in shower.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and is connected to a bathroom.

The sunroom has a queen pull out sofa bed, with TV/DVD player and can be closed off and used as a 3rd bedroom.

Enjoy cooking in the fully stocked kitchen with high end appliances. If relaxing is more your style, grab a glass of wine or make a margarita and enjoy it on the front porch, side deck, or back patio. Better yet, enjoy it while on the hammock under the stars. This beautiful home is perched on a hill so you’re sure to have a nice breeze.

Need to stretch those legs or work off those extra margaritas? Take a walk down the drive to the front gate, take a seat and enjoy the views or explore a little and follow the seasonal creek to see if there’s water in either of the 2 grottos. After dark, build a fire in the fire pit, roast some s’mores and enjoy the starry sky.

Gray Hund Acres is our “home away from home” and a getaway from our busy life in San Antonio. We kindly ask that you respect any and all personal items we have in the home. Gray Hund Acres is named after our Weimaraner, Grayson, and is a dog friendly property. All well behaved, non-destructive, and house trained dogs are welcome! Though the entire 17 acres are fenced

in, there is not an additional smaller fenced in portion surrounding the home, so make sure your dog is on a leash outdoors or has good recall and won’t run off! There’s also a large size dog crate available for use if needed. This home is also child friendly, though not child “proof”. We do have a full-size portable crib available for use if desired.

There is a gas grill attached to the gas line (so no need for propane!) on the back patio and a charcoal grill as well, but you’ll need to bring your own charcoal!

There is an ice cream maker and margarita machine you are welcome to use as well. Just please wash and put away!

There is also a portable Bluetooth Bose Speaker near the TV in the sunroom you’re welcome to use. Please plug in when not using so it can charge. There are also outdoor games (like cornhole and jenga) in the big plastic storage bench on the side of the garage. Please put away after use!

NOTE NEW RULES:
1. if there is any evidence of dogs at the property that were not disclosed of at booking, you will pay a $500 pet fee. We do not currently charge a pet fee at booking so PLEASE just let us know if you have a dog(s) staying.

2. If there is any evidence that there were ANY overnight guests that are not disclosed of at booking there will be a $500 fee charged.

3. If there is any evidence that there were more than 2 daytime guests that were not disclosed of or approved at booking, there I’ll be a $500 fee charged.

4. If there is any evidence that there was a party with more than 10 people there will be a $1,000 fee charged.
