Jan was very welcoming, in fact he was sitting outside his apartment ready to draw us in as soon as we arrived. He is a smoker which may bother some people, although he doesn't smoke in the house, so there's nothing to worry about, really. He was very helpful in explaining how to use the bus system to us, and was able to direct us back to the apartment over the phone when we got lost one night. The neighbourhood made me feel a little uneasy at times as it's not the richest, but it's in a good location in terms of Underground Station and Bus Stops. The room was a lot smaller than expected and the bed was very solid, but we still got a good nights sleep. It did the job for the small amount of time that we actually spent in there. Overall, it was a pleasant accommodation.
Jan made us feel very welcome in his home. He seemed always willing to have a conversation and could talk about seemingly every subject. He knew the bus and tube system very well and could tell us exactly what bus or what train to take to get to where we were going. He gave us a section of the fridge to use and gave us access to the kitchen.
The room we were in was small, much like the picture describes. The bed wasn't overly comfortable but it did the trick. Location was good for wanting to get down town. It was not in the best part of London but the price and the proximity to everything made up for it.
Muchas gracias
Jan is a very nice, chilled guy, who makes you feel comfortable at his home. He is an artist in every way, you will enjoy looking at his pieces of work all over the place.
Public transportation to Jan's place is very good, the buses leaving from the bus stop 5 minutes from the door and take you to the center in 10-30 minutes (or to the tube).
The flat looks good, shows Jan's style. The bedroom is small, but it is enough for 2 people. You can use the bathroom and living room any time. There is only one single thing, that could be better: the kitchen should be cleaner.
The apartment was great, located really close to buses and had everything we needed. Jan was amazing, gave us lots of tips on things to see and even shared some soup with us when we first arrived. We couldn't recommend Jan more as a great host and only wish we could have had more time in London to enjoy his hospitality. :)
We were made to feel very welcome and had a very comfortable stay in London. Jan was very helpful and friendly and we had a great time. We would happily stay again.
Jan is a very nice person, he help me with everything. Good location near to the main buses stations. Room and bathroom were ok.
Wi fi was not very good and the kitchen was never clean.
