The house was very relaxing and quiet. Location is perfect: not too close and not too far from Ubud center. Service was very friendly and answering all our needs. Thank you for everything. I recommend this place very good value for money
Everything went perfectly during my stay at lotus lumbung. The driver was extremely helpful is letting me know what to see in ubud. All the staff were extremely attentive to your needs and also very welcoming. You feel like your back with nature with the tranquility and sounds of animals. Will definitely aim to come back and stay longer next time.
We arrived at Lotus Lumbung in a taxi that we booked from our hotel. The driver was local to Ubud so there were no issues finding it. The location is a little out of the way, about a 30 minute walk back to Ubud, which we did on several occasions with no problems. Though there are no pavements for some of the walk which takes some getting used to! Taxi's are cheap so it didn't prove to be a problem when we didn't want to walk.
The location is a tranquil oasis once you head through the gate, it really is a pretty as in the pictures. The pool is a good size and the garden is extremely colourful.
We stayed in one of the four buildings on the site. It very much felt like a community. We had a private bedroom up some ladder type stairs (as seen in the pics) and an open living space with a small kitchen downstairs. It was ample for our needs as a base to see Ubud.
The staff were brilliant, I can't speak highly enough of them, they were all very approachable and helpful from booking taxis, to ordering food and generally just being there to answer questions.
I would definitely stay here again!
The Lotus Lumbung was really nice. It has a bathroom, kitchen, livingroom and bedroom (with airconditioning). The staff is very helpful. Breakfast was great.
When we visit Ubud again, we will stay at the Lotus Lumbung for sure.
This is truly a great place to stay for a few days while visiting Ubud. The house is very nice and clean and looks very much like the pictures provided. The pool (shared with the other 3 houses) is also a nice perk. The staff always present was extremely nice and helpful. It is worth noting that the house is at least 15 minutes walk from Ubud center, which may be a downside for some people, although it is easily walkable (and using motorbikes is also a good option).

About the Host, David And Brenda
David, my husband was a set designer and furniture designer for the movie industry in Los Angeles for thirty years and worked with the tops in the industry....Steven Spielberg, Jodie Foster, Robert Redford, Bruce Springsteen and many more. His built the Captains Chair for Star Trek Insurrection and had the most "ordered" bed in TV history from the TV hit, "Mad about You".
He designed furniture for many top Restaurants in Los Angeles from the Saddle Peak Lodge in Malibu to Malibu Adobe with Ali McGraw. His resume is extensive and his client list is long....Billy Crystal, David Hasselhof, Arnold Schwarzanegger to Keenan Wayans.
He has translated that skill into building ten amazingly different houses since he's come to Bali. Our house is amazing and you will see why he is so in demand!
I have a variety of interests that keep me busy. I have spent years doing spiritual growth work and now work with others with addiction and codependency issues. I love this work and the chance to give back what I was taught. I've been an artist my whole life so our home is filled with original art ( mine and others) and I have an awesome studio..Anyone that loves to paint will fall in love here. My latest passion is teaching Zumba, What a blast!
As you can see, we are both loving our life and filling the hours manifesting our dreams. We both are creative artists and love to explore the world and the people in it.
Since we've been in Bali we've been taking in South East Asia. We love Vietnam, and Thailand for their amazing cuisine.
We are frequently traveling, so we are sorry that we don't get to meet all our guests, but we leave you in the hands of an amazing staff and manager, Eko and Sakming, who will be your contact people.
