The space
Bass-kin is a house located directly on the Fairhope side of Fish river. The cabin has a very inviting interior with wood panels, floor, and blinds. Bass-kin has great natural lighting with 11 windows(with natural wood blinds). You are so high up that you feel like you are in a treehouse. The ladder leading to the upstairs loft style bedroom has a full size bed with a great expansive view of the river. If you prefer not to use the ladder, the couch down on the main floor is a pullout queen size bed.

Enjoy everything about the property: kayaks, fishing poles, grilling picnic area with a Webber charcoal grill, fire pit, etc. The river is great place to spend your time! The Inside of the tiny house living area is a great place to watch a movie or football game. It has a very comfortable leather couch and a 42 inch Smart TV which includes Youtube TV, which is the newest(best) streaming service that provides 70 of the best cable channels, and is easy to navigate. When watching movies, the smart tv allows you to log in to your Netflix or Amazon Prime account. Big Daddy's grill is just a few blocks down the road. Big Daddy's is one of the areas most popular casual dinning restaurants located on the river.
The occasional rain shower can be a little bit of a bummer at most places, but not at the cabin. Its great to hear the rain on the tin roof.
Southern Summers can be hot. The cabin has two air conditioners and a dehumidifier... When combined it makes a comfortable temperature inside of the cabin.

A large portion of Air BnB properties have the owners who live on or adjacent to the property. We do not live on or adjacent to the cabin.

Recent guest spotted a Bald Eagle at the property during their stay!

Listing picture disclosure: some shoreline erosion has occurred from Hurricane Sally.

Because of hazards like a child falling throught the hatch of the sleeping area and the rocky bulkhead, we ask guests not to bring children.

Guest access
Kayaks and fishing poles are available for guests at no extra charge.

Because we respect your privacy, we do Not have any video surveillance cameras on the property.

Other things to note
Smoking inside the cabin is strictly prohibited. Smoking inside the cabin will result in a $350 smoking fee. Smoking outside is allowed.

Kayaking is real fun from the cabins shoreline, but it must be noted that because of the rocky bulkhead, some agility is needed to board the kayaks. During your stay, if you dont feel comfortable boarding the kayaks form the cabins shoreline, you are welcome to take them to easier spots to board in the area.

Wide angled lens used during photography of cabin. The cabin is around 250 square feet. Some shoreline erosion has occurred since original listing pictures.

The number of overnight guests staying must match the number of guests listed on the reservation.

I firmly follow my cancellation policy.

Neighborhood highlights

Keeney drive is one of the premier neighborhoods on Fish River. Its a dead end street, so not alot of traffic. One of the areas most popular restaurants, Big Daddys, is walking distance. Their crab claws are great. There is a little park just down the street. It is a beautiful little stroll to the river..it used to be where the old Fish River Ferry used to operate out of in the 1800s

As with most waterfront properties on the Gulf Coast, the cabin has a close proximity to the neighbors houses. (they are great neighbors)
