Amenities

Description

The space

This room is at the front of the house, facing west. You have a double bed as standard and we can put another one in if you need. There is a balcony in the room looking out over the nearby farms.

Stay with my familly in DALAT, my new homestay has just been finished and gives you the chance to see how a real family lives. As you can see from the photographs, the room ares so big and comfortable. Most rooms have space for an extra bed if you have more guests, just ask me for information. My house is near farm and not far from the market, a taxi to the market cost 2 USD where you can purchase local products from flowers ,fresh vegetable, and delicious VIETNAMESE coffee. You can walk there in about 40 minutes too which is easy as it is not too hot here in the Highlands.
We assure you that you have great stay at our place.
We love to have people who want to stay weeks or months at a time.

Guest access

Upstairs is just for guests with 4 private rooms and a shared balcony area. Downstairs is common space available for you to share with my family. We have one lounge with a great TV, and another with big sofa for reading. The kitchen is where we cook you breakfast and dinner but you are free to use it too if you want to cook something.
Downstairs is also the bathroom with hot shower all day.
Outside at the back is for smoking and we also have a BBQ.
At the front are French doors opening to farm views and a seating area for reading in the sunshine. There is plenty of room for
children to play and a gate closes it to the road.
WiFi is available everywhere and free.

Interaction with guests

This is my family home and my parents and some extended family live here too. My parents only speak Vietnamese but everyone speaks English and can help you whenever you need. We would love to teach you some Vietnamese too.

The neighborhood

I live a little North of the lake and market in a very quiet area that has great views over the countryside. I can take you on a walk to see my sisters farm of strawberries, coffee and flowers. You can taste the stawberries
There is a small temple nearby that you should visit.
A few minutes walk away are small stores and places to eat a cheap meal with locals.
i live next to many lovely neighborhood so they can teach you how to do thing on thier farm and take you to their home to show thier

life. You can work on a farm with local people if you choose.

There are many tourist acttractions close by such as KING PALACE, CRAZY HOUSE, XUAN HUONG LAKE,

We loved this home! Huan & his family made us feel part of the family. If you want to help in the kitchen you can, if you don't want to, that is ok too. His mother 'Hum' is so kind & tries very hard to express herself even though she can't speak alot of english. Our bedroom was wsy bigger than my bedroom in my own home. We had a beautiful panoramic view from our room which also had a balcony. You can eat dinner with the family & other guests, or they will easily call a cab for you to go to town. The taxi is cheap & this location is great. You get ALOT for your money. Accommodation, dinner and breakfast. The food was delicious. His sister-in-law generously arranged for some lost property to be returned to me. Huan can tell you the best places to see & to use the best guides- 'Banana Easy Riders'. Would highly recommend this home.

The landlords of this house were all good at communication, and the dinner by landlord was so great! Infact not very far from center, because of not very big area of Dat Lat.

I didn't actually sleep at the homestay, I slept at their uncle's hotel which is nearby and used as an overspill but spent more time at the homestay than the hotel. I had a great time here, they are a very welcoming family that try to get all the guests cooking and eating together. I was travelling alone so this was the perfect place to meet other people which you can't do easily if you're staying in a hotel (or if you don't want to stay in a dorm). It's on the outskirts of Da Lat which is either a good or bad thing depending on your point of view - it's a very quiet area but it's a half hour walk (5 mins taxi) to the centre. I did a motorbike tour of Da Lat with one of the brothers also (I think both brothers do motorbike tours) . Overall, I had a very enjoyable time and would happily stay there again.

Staying at Huan's homestay was one of my favorite vietnam experiences. He and his family were so sweet and hospitable. He arranged a motorbike trip for me from Dalat to Nha Trang and took us on a tour of his beautiful farm. My favorite part of the stay was making dinner with all the guests staying at his house and enjoying it outside in his lovely yard with everyone. The house is out of the city center but only a 15 minute walk into town and surrounded by farms and has a great view of the city. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to experience Dalat!

Visiting Da Lat and staying with Huan at Authentic Vietnam Homestay was the highlight of our Viet Nam holiday. The hospitality and friendliness of Huan and his beautiful family is fantastic the best we have experienced anywhere in Viet Nam. A bonus to this is meeting fantastic people from all over the world. We stayed for 5 nights and met visitors from USA, England, Germany, Spain, Canada, Israel, Switzerland, Canary Islands, Greece and fellow tourists from Australia. Our host Huan is a wonderful guide and we went on two motorbike tours each for the whole day and we saw so much. His knowledge is vast and we learnt so much. Breakfast is served every morning and dinner at night and how fantastic it is to sit around the dinner table with tourists from all over the world just talking. It is so homely. We have now made a lot of new friends. We highly recommend Huan's accommodation to anyone who wants to experience true Vietnamese culture, cuisine and hospitality. Thank you Huan for giving us this wonderful memory.

Huan was a fantastic host. We were a little uncertain because we would be away from the city center of Dalat, but it was perfect. The house has a beautiful farmland view upstairs. You can enjoy the view and the daily life passing by on the road below as you stand outside on the small deck. The neighborhood is quiet. The other room has no view, but both are very spacious with a comfortable large Queen or King bed. There's no other furniture, but the floors are clean with ample space to lay out your things. There is one shared bathroom downstairs with a warm shower. The internet access is quite good. We were able to visit a coffee, strawberry, and flower farm that Huan's family owns. The farming landscape is beautiful and peaceful. My sons and I were able to help pick strawberries and eat some too ;0). The stay was VERY family friendly, and my boys enjoyed playing with Huan's nephew and niece and loved hanging out with his whole family. We were often invited to have breakfast and dinner with them. It may help that I speak some Vietnamese as well and understand the culture, since Huan's mom and dad speak no English. This home stay is definitely your home away from home and a wonderful way to learn about it's culture. Huan is warm and energetic, and his english is excellent. He's EXTREMELY helpful and always a call away. He helped to arrange our tour there and our bus ride back to Saigon. The best part was we were picked up directly from his home!
