  • Zannah has a lovely tastefully modernised 200 year old cottage, in a nice village away from the hurley-burley. Our room was really comfortable in every way. But the real pleasure was the time spent with Zannah and her toddler Sol, who is adorable. We had some really pleasant conversations, just all of us lounging on the sofa together, in front of the wood burning stove. Neither Sol nor his elder brother Lex disturbed us at all during our stay.

Breakfast consisted of cereals or toast and honey or jam, and good real coffee. While all the facilities are of the highest quality and comfort level, it maybe should be mentioned that the bedroom and its sole-use shower room do open directly off Zannah's kitchen and living room.

The village pub serves up some surprising good food and there is a good selection for veggies on the menu.

Stupidly we left our mobile phone charger in our room, and by the time we returned home we had an email asking if we would like it sent on.

All in all we really enjoyed our stay here. Zannah is a lovely host in every way.

  • Had an enjoyable stay for one night at Zannah and Arthur's. Only met Arthur as Zannah was busy with the children. We enjoyed his company and also had a good Christmas dinner at the local pub. Would recommend.

  • Very stylish accommodation with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was modern and clean.
Only draw back was lack of privacy with room right next door to hosts living room which they do remain in during the stay.

  • Lovely people, beautiful barn conversion. Zannah and Arthur were very laid back and made me feel very welcome in their home. I really enjoyed my stay here and would love to visit again! Thanks for having me! :)

  • Excellent accommodation and a wonderful host - Zannah made me feel "at home" as soon as I arrived. Her home and guest room is exactly as described - clean, comfortable, well appointed - so you won't be disappointed. Delightful young son (Lex) and an adorable baby boy too! Pleasant peaceful village location with good access to nearby towns. Highly recommended.

  • Zannah's place is very beautiful. From the luxurious towels to the beautiful freshly brewed coffee to the very comfortable bed in a beautifully renovated cottage in a rural village. The en suite is also much more up to date than any other English bathroom that I have seen. Zannah is a perfect host and provided excellent information on the local villages. We would definitely recommend visiting this One and if we ever return we would definitely come again.

We are in our 30s and live in a village called Brant Broughton in a 200-yr old cottage that we've made as efficient as possible and used lots of natural materials. We have a five year old son who is very very very quiet in the mornings and an 8 month old who, so far is very placid and also quiet!
