Most of the small village of Brant Broughton is in a conservation area, having a very wide, attractive main street with many of the houses dating back to the coaching days of the 18th and 19th centuries.
It has a beautiful Parish Church called St.Helen's (which is said to have the most elegant spire in Lincolnshire.)
There is a pub called the Generous Briton, a campsite, a Weslyan Chapel, a Heritage Room and a Village Hall which hosts various activities.
There are about three buses a day into Newark and Lincoln and other connecting services to the attractive Wolds area.
Other Things to Note
There are free parking bays all along the High Street which is the Street on which our house is located.
The only thing that is important is to us is getting a good night sleep, so we try to have quiet evenings and we'll make sure we don't disturb you in the mornings, super-late lie-ins are no problem!
This is a very beautiful and peaceful house. We had a nice time of relaxation there. Zannah and Arthur were very friendly, and willing to help us with whatever we needed. We are grateful for the time we spend at their place. :-) Thank you!
Clean, modern and airy spaces with an old traditional tinge. Good breakfast and excellent hosting. Suggestions for local attractions/eateries really appreciated. All in all good times had by all!
Our stay at Arthur and Zannah's was great! Zannah was so welcoming and ran us through everything in the house, as well as giving some tips for the local area. She pointed us to a nearby church which was truely worth seeing!
There's a pub nearby with great food (we had dinner) as well as a delightful little coffee shop right around the corner where we had coffee and home made scones.
The room was perfect for our stay and had everything we needed.
There was also a washing machine available which we sorely needed! And Zannah was kind enough to take our clothes to hang out and dry.
She really made us feel like old friends and we had a great experience.
Zannah was a great host, very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. She asked me what I wanted for breakfast and couldn't have done more to make it feel like a home from home!
We very much enjoyed our stay at this pretty cottage. The room was comfortable and the shower room luxurious. Zannah and Arthur were very hospitable even drawing us a nice (and accurate!) map to help us find the wedding we came up to attend at nearby Stubton Hall. We would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting this lovely rural area. Thank you.
We stayed at Zannah & Arthur's lovely cottage for 1 night. The room was perfect, and the bed was really comfy. We both slept really well!
Everything was very clean, the bathroom was stunning and just for our use, and the breakfast of cereal and toast was enough for us.
We met both Zannah and Arthur, who were happy to chat and very warm and welcoming. They were also happy to leave us to ourselves. In summary, a great Airbnb experience in a place that we would definitely recommend to others.
Lovely sophisticated home, nestled in rural British countryside. The room was really cozy and bathroom was beautifully designed even if, in order to access it, one has to go through a bit of the kitchen. Would stay there again.

About the Host, Zannah
We are in our 30s and live in a village called Brant Broughton.
We offer guests a room in our 200-yr old cottage that we've made as efficient as possible and used lots of natural materials. Plus rooms in a 17th Century house that many years ago was an old boys school with an annexe "The Buttery" and huge gardens.
We have a seven year old son who can be very very very quiet in the mornings and a two year old who, so far is sometimes not quiet, but we'll make sure doesn't disturb you!
