Emma and Tony were great to stay with. I had meetings in Newcastle over 2 days, and got what I needed - somewhere comfortable and quiet to stay.
Emma was very helpful too, driving me in and out of the City Centre on an evening when parking was going to be difficult.
Warm house, comfortable bed, good shower. Emma also gave me some bread from her French Bakery as I left, delicious.
No hesitation in recommending to others, and would be very happy to stay again next time I have meetings in Newcastle.
This was our first stay with AirBnB and it couldn't be any better!
Emma and Tony are absolutely fantastic hosts, very helpful and friendly. It is impossible to write about all the kindness we have received from them. Their house is clean, comfortable and pleasant. We had everything we needed. Nice neighbourhood, well connected with the city by bus ( 1h on foot ;) ) The bread from Emma's bakery and the dinners she prepared were delicious! The evenings we spent together were great, we really enjoyed the time with them and Coco (the smartest dog we've seen!). We miss them...
Sharing an apartment, living area, and bathroom with someone you don't know could be awkward, but Emma and Tony made it as easy as anything. They were both so welcoming and easy-going, it felt like sharing with family. And they were so generous, offering us a glass of wine, tour of the city in their car, or a ride to a restaurant when we had our own car. They were also more than willing to share information about their corner of England. But the icing on the cake was when Tony recorded my favorite show because we would be out that night, and then had it all ready to play when we got home. We greatly appreciated every generosity.
We signed on for breakfast both mornings, and Emma cooks to order despite having to get out the door to work. So many nice touches like fresh fruit, even when we didn't ask for it. She owns a bakery, and the breads her father bakes are delicious. She is very up on nutrition and can accommodate any diet.
The apartment was very clean. Coco, their JRT, was a delight, but we are partial to JRTs. ;o) Their two bunnies are adorable. We didn't see them up close, but enjoyed watching them in the garden from the upstairs window.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Thank you, Emma and Tony!
It was very nice place to stay in newcastle. The neighbourhood is very quiet. Perfect place to crash after a busy day of sightseeing.
Hi, this is a great home from home, ideally situated close to the city centre. Emma is an incredibly thoughtful host and provided everything I needed for my stay and given that I was there to compete in the Great North run I didn't have the usual requirements! There were great breakfast ingredients, a hot shower and a drawer of medical supplies if needed! A really great place and I couldn't recommend more.
We had a lovely stay at Emma and Tony's place. It was fun to visit with them when we came back to their home each night. The breakfasts were all very delicious. If we come back to this area, we certainly would want to stay there again.
My girlfriend and I stayed with Emma and Toni for two nights. We loved it. It was our first time staying in an AirBnB place instead of hostels and we couldn't have had a better time. It was clean, they were incredibly friendly, helpful and nice. They took us for a driving tour of Newcastle so we could get our bearings, and were able to take us and all of our bags into the train station when we left. Breakfast was amazing, you should get it!!! There was also lots of fresh fruit and vegetables that we were able to use, along with the kitchen and washing machine. They have a dog called Coco who was heaps of fun to play with. Bus stops are close and it is only a short trip into the city. If you want somewhere to stay in Newcastle, then I recommend that you stay here. You will love it!
Emma-Claude's apartment is very nice, clean and well decorated. The room is very nice too and Emma-Claude even leaves what is necessary to have some tea! We had a nice stay and our host indicated us places to go and visit.
Emma and Tony were great hosts! Their house is cosy and expertly remodeled in a very cool and fashionable modern style. Their guest room is spacious and relaxing with everything you need to conduct your holiday! I would strongly recommend taking advantage of the breakfast, as Emma's cooking is fantastic! The couple were so friendly and accommodating and eager to share their city with me- it was like visiting good friends! Would highly recommend and would love to stay there again myself! Thanks!!
I stayed at this listing with a friend in late July 2013. The neighborhood is a touch out of the way, but is still only a 10 minute cab ride from central Newcastle.
Emma and Toni were very kind, friendly hosts. The room was small, but very comfortable. For the price, this is really a fantastic value.
The most memorable part of our stay was Emma's MIND-BLOWING breakfast. It was top-notch. If you stay here, you must take full advantage of her 3 pound breakfast option.
My friend and I were incredibly pleased with this listing and give it our highest recommendations. Also- their dog, Coco, is adorable.
