We offer a warm friendly welcome to our large country house in a rural area, on a small beef farm, only 6km from the historical town of Cashel. We have 1 bedroom available, en-suite. Included in price per room is a self service breakfast.
The main bedroom is very comfortable with a double bed and en suite. We have also made space in wardrobe. The house has a big garden and patio (for relaxing) and one large sitting rooms and also a smaller sitting room with open fire and piano. It is in a quite rural area on a small lane, very safe. There are buses daily to thurles Cashel and clonmel! Also bus directly from Dublin airport to Cashel! Also train only 20minutes away. However we would suggest that the area is much more convenient for guests with a car

Interaction with Guests
We are nearly with Airbnb a year now and our main policy is to provide a genuine service to our guests. We will provide information if needed and hope to make guests feel at home. (Philip is a member of local historical society) We recommend that guests have a car as it is a rural area, even though there is public transport available and our local village is 1km and the town of Cashel is just 6km away, We want to make people feel as relaxed and at home as possible during their stay with us, and if its privacy that our guests want then we will endevour to provide it.
I would highly recomend that you look at the site, the virtualtourist, which is on the web and you can check out Cashel, Co Tippeary. It is a terrific site, which highlights the local area and gives the views of other tourists.
Areas of attraction include the following:
1....Rock of Cashel (6km) This is one of the most spectacular tourist attractions in Ireland, It's huge, it's complex, it's iconic, there is nothing like it anywhere else in the world and it's right here in Cashel at the heart of Tipperary.
2......Hore Abbey, Cashel (6km) a ruined cistercian monastery
3.......Coolmore Stud Farm (20km) Home to the most famous stallions in the world
4.......Mitchelstown Caves (15km) Explore a world without sun, without time, a world where man almost feels an intruder, stumbling on a past age, and an era where nature reigns supreme.
5......Cahir Castle (12km) built in the 13th century and well preserved and one of the largest castles in Ireland, was used to film the movie 'Excaliber'
6.......Holycross Abbey (5km) a restored cistecian monastery dating back to 1233, situated on the River Suir.
7........The Vee (18km) a spectacular scenic route through the Knockmaoldowns Mountains, very popular with hikers and walkers
8........Bru Boru Theatre, Cashel (6km) which hosts an irish traditional music, song and dance show throughout the summer months (Tue - Sat)
Other attractions might include going to see a local game of hurling or gaelic football (national sport) which we can arrange for you. Also in our local village (Boherlahan) every Monday night, the local community have a game of bingo with an attendance of about 100 people.
It is probably better if one has a car, we have had guests who have stayed here for few days and have found our home to be a great base to travel easily (daytrips) to Kilkenny(famous smithwicks brewery tours) Waterford (famous for its crystal) Cork (one of the oldest cities in Europe and close to Blarney Stone) Clare (its pituresque landscape) Kerry (its many tourist attractions), Galway (cultural city) & Dublin (our capital city).
Other Things to Note
Cashel Town is also renowned for its amazing restaurants and pubs, we can advise guests on these. We have had guests who have stayed a few days and they describe the area as a hikers paradise, so it is perfect if you want to spend a few days hiking in the knockmaoldown, commeragh or galtee mountains, you can check out a great site called walkingroutes and we can give some local information as well.
We love to travel ourselves and have done house swaps to Germany, France & USA over the years, so we expect people to treat our house as they would their own.
From Aug 3 - 15, 2015 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
Lovely room very spacious & comfortable, Ann and her family are all very nice and accommodating, lots of parking space and located in the country side. Highly recommended.
Great stay in Boherlahan for a GAA weekend in Thurles! Lovely en suite room was spotless and we slept like logs! Thanks a million!
Ann and Philly were great! They were very friendly and offered lots of good advice on what to see locally, best places to eat. The room was very comfortable and we felt right at home. Thanks so much!
Ann kept in constant communication with us which I really appreciate! The house is large and very comfortable. The room has it's own bathroom which is a big plus for me! Location couldn't be better, just a few miles from Cashel with lots to do in the area. We only saw The Rock of Cashel and the Abbey right next to it but had we more time we would have visited more sites that Ann recommended. Cafe Hans is near The Rock of Cashel by the way and really fantastic, a great place for lunch. We also went to Feehan's Bar for lunch the next day (Ann's recommendation) which was also very good, great seafood chowder, which we were rating all through Ireland and it's number 2 on our list (number one is in Doolin at O'Connel's by the way:)! Ann and her husband were so hospitable, really professional but also really easy going. There are four girls in the house so get ready for some activity, which we found to be loads of fun! I have 3 sisters myself so being in a house with 4 girls really brought back some memories! With that said we had our privacy and in addition it was peaceful and relaxing. With such a big family I found the place to be really clean and well kept. We arrived in the afternoon and stayed just one night. Ann and the whole family happened to have plans for the evening, which turned out to be a benefit for us as we were exhausted from traveling and so had a relaxing evening to ourselves. When Ann and her husband returned they sat with us and had a couple drinks and some lovely conversation. Thanks for all the reading recommendations Ann! Breakfast is super simple and serve yourself which is put out for you, scones and cereal. The next day we were invited to attend a hurling match that Ann's husband was coaching, what fun! A great opportunity to see a local sport! All in all a really good experience!
Here you will be integrated in an extended and lovely irish family and live in a big countryhouse with huge garden. Everybody is nice and talks to you. Ann helped us with everything, gave a lot of tips and on top phoned around to get information for us. Thank you!
