We offer a warm friendly welcome to our large country house in a rural area, on a small beef farm, only 6km from the historical town of Cashel. We have 3 bedrooms available, one en-suite. Included in price per room is a self service breakfast.
The main bedroom is very comfortable with a double bed and en suite. We have also made space in wardrobe. The house has a big garden and patio (for relaxing) and one large sitting rooms and also a smaller sitting room with open fire and piano. It is in a quite rural area on a small lane, very safe. There are buses daily to thurles Cashel and clonmel! Also bus directly from Dublin airport to Cashel! Also train only 20minutes away. However we would suggest that area is much more convenient for guests with a car

I would highly recomend that you look at the site, the virtualtourist, which is on the web and you can check out Cashel, Co Tippeary. It is a terrific site, which highlights the local area and gives the views of other tourists.
Areas of attraction include the following:
1....Rock of Cashel (6km) This is one of the most spectacular tourist attractions in Ireland, It's huge, it's complex, it's iconic, there is nothing like it anywhere else in the world and it's right here in Cashel at the heart of Tipperary.
2......Hore Abbey (6km) a ruined cistercian monastery
3.......Coolmore Stud Farm (20km) Home to the most famous stallions in the world
4.......Mitchelstown Caves (15km) Explore a world without sun, without time, a world where man almost feels an intruder, stumbling on a past age, and an era where nature reigns supreme.
5......Cahir Castle (12km) built in the 13th century and well preserved and one of the largest castles in Ireland, was used to film the movie 'Excaliber'
6.......Holycross Abbey (5km) a restored cistecian monastery dating back to 1233, situated on the River Suir.
7........The Vee (18km) a spectacular scenic route through the Knockmaoldowns Mountains, very popular with hikers and walkers
It is probably better if one has a car, we have had guests who found our home to be a great base to travel easily (daytrips) to Cork, Kerry, Galway & Dublin.
Other Things to Note
Cashel Town is also renowned for its amazing restaurants and pubs, we can advise guests on these.
We love to travel ourselves and have done house swaps to Germany, France & USA over the years, so we expect people to treat our house as they would their own.
Ann and Philip were lovely. They stayed up late to ensure we arrived okay. There home was warm and spotless and better than described. Ann made fresh scones in the morning for breakfast which was delicious. Very welcoming and would recommend.
We had a very comfortable room with ensuite in Ann's house at Boherlahan. Farm fresh eggs and freshly baked scones were on offer every morning.
Despite arriving at a very difficult time for the family, we were made to feel most welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed the homey, family atmosphere. Our chats with Ann, Phil and the children were always interesting, informative or amusing, frequently all three. They provided sound advice on places to visit and local activities. Importantly, we learnt something of how hurling and camogie are played and enjoyed watching a great game of this very skilful Irish sport.
The farm is in a great location, very close to the village and a short, easy drive into Cashel.
that family was my first experience as a member and i felt at home
Ann was one of the most gracious hosts that I have had through Airbnb. We were only able to stay one night but they were fantastic hosts and their home is very beautiful, surrounded by farms. I would say that it is much better to stay here than one of the B&Bs near Cashel, they are only a short drive to the rock.
I had a lovely stay with Ann and her family. Everyone was very polite and welcoming, and her girls are all very sweet. There is a lot to explore around Cashel, and the town itself has a lot to offer for being a smaller village. The house is beautiful. My room was clean and roomy, and the in suit bathroom was very convenient. It was a pleasure to meet Ann and her family, and I would recommending staying with them to anyone.
Ann was a wonderful host! My mom and I spent just one night with Ann on our way through but would have loved to have been able to stay longer! The accommodations were exactly as described and area is beautiful! Ann was so kind and sat down with us to review our map and travel plans. Her daughters were also lovely and offed up many great suggestions!
We were unable to find the location using our GPS (maybe just the card we had) but with the map of the location is super easy to locate!
I'd recommend others to stay with Ann and enjoy a truly lovely experience in the Ireland countryside!
