Monona is centrally located 35 minutes Decorah, IA; 20 minutes from the scenic river towns of Marquette & McGregor, IA and Prairie Du Chien, WI. Come and enjoy all that the outdoors of Northeast Iowa's Driftless Area has to offer!

The space
You will have the entire fully furnished home which has room for up to 6 guests. The living room is equipped with a 50 inch flat screen TV and a comfortable couch. High speed Wi-Fi is included. Full kitchen with a gas range, dishwasher and beautiful eat in dining area overlooking the backyard. The master bedroom has refinished hard wood floors and a comfortable queen size bed with foam mattress. The other two bedrooms are adjoining rooms with full size beds, these rooms are separated by accordion style doors for privacy; this set up is perfect for guests staying with little ones. The main bathroom is newly renovated with modern finishes and located on the 2nd floor with the bedrooms. The washer/dryer are located in the basement and available for use.

There is a spacious patio and deck area with a gas grill and picnic table, plus a fire pit area. The home is at the edge of town with backyard views overlooking fields and a pasture. An occasional train goes by and there is a small farm next door with chickens and two horses. There’s plenty of room to bring your toys too – with plenty of driveway space and 1 garage stall bring your kayaks, canoes, boats, bikes or side by side vehicles!

Guest access
All areas of the home and yard. The heated garage is a shared space so we may stop over in the garage to get our bikes or tools out.

Other things to note
We do have several friendly but excitable dogs that live nearby, they are frequently outside during the day but not out at night.

I grew up in Illinois but after graduating from college in Iowa, I loved it here so much I decided to stay. In 2018, we decided to relocate to my husband's home town in Northeast Iowa to be closer to family. We were excited to purchase this home and start an Airbnb in Monona. We love the Driftless area and hope you do too!
