Both single rooms listed on the site are very pleasant and comfortable in a spacious and recently decorated house. This one has a sink. We also have a double room listed on the site. There is a bathroom and separate shower room for guests, and you can use the kitchen, dining room, garden room, garden and table tennis room. All we ask is that you’re tidy, respectful and considerate! It is also a strictly non-smoking house.
The single rooms are used by our children when they come to stay so some of their books and toys are around, but we will of course create ample space in the wardrobe and drawers for guests' use.
Please let us know if you have any particular requests such as a second pillow or extra blankets.
Being busy and both working, we don't offer breakfast. However, guests are welcome to use some cupboard and fridge space to prepare their own breakfast and other meals. We have plenty of pans, cutlery and crockery etc. Let us know if you would like to do any self-catering. If you prefer breakfast out there are a couple of nice cafes near the railway station about 10 minutes walk away.
People staying longer are welcome to use the washing machine. We also have a dishwasher that guests can use.
There is a pleasant garden to sit outside.
We have wifi and can supply the code to guests.
The street is in a quiet residential area. The town centre is easily walkable or a short bus ride away. We are close to the train station and bus routes. There is on-street parking outside the house and we are situated near to the M5 motorway.
The house is close to a Tesco Express and small Coop (by the Railway station). Larger supermarkets are not too far away. There is also a garage opposite that sells basic supplies and stays open late.
Being quite large, the house can get slightly chilly outside of summertime so feel free to bring slippers and a warm jumper etc if you like!
See 'location' section for how to find us!
We just ask that guests are polite, considerate, tidy and respectful! It's a non-smoking house. We prefer guests not to eat in the bedrooms, particularly for hot food. If using the kitchen we would expect guests to do a reasonable clear-up afterwards.
We prefer guests to leave outdoor footwear in the hallway.
Rich is a great host. His home is lovely, set in a quiet crescent close to the main road, making access very easy.
Rich made the sitting room available so that, in great comfort, I could indulge in watching a series I'm following
Rich has been a great host, who made me feel very welcome. The room was cozy and very tidy (as was the rest of the house), and provided anything a guest could wish for (even towels, information about Cheltenham, extra blankets...). I was very happy to use the kitchen, the dining room, the bathroom and the showerroom. Although our conversations were usually short - upon passing each other, in the kitchen - Rich always showed sincere interest (mainly in my work; the reason why I was in Cheltenham). The house is not very close to the city centre, but there are plenty of buses (a walk into town will take you about 30 minutes, but can be pleasant as well). This has really been a 'home away from home', an ideal, quiet place to stay (and have some (studying) work done) while visiting the university.
Rich made me feel very welcome on arrival, everything was as described in the listing. I didn't spend much time in the house as I was working, starting very early in the morning and finishing late at night, I just needed somewhere to lay my head that was comfortable. It suited my needs perfectly, my room in fact the entire house was emaculatey clean and tidy. The location is very convenient not being too far from town but still peaceful.
This was a great property to base myself from while in the Cheltenham area. It has good road links to Gloucester and the motorway, and isn't too far from the town centre either. Rich was a very friendly and welcoming host who made sure my stay was very comfortable. The house has excellent facilities and the bedroom is light and airy wi a perfectly comfortable single bed. All in all highly recommended.
This is a beautiful home with very gracious hosts, it was just the peaceful place I was looking for after a long day at work. The house and the rooms are comfortable and immaculate. I don't hesitate in recommending you making this your base if you're staying in Cheltenham and looking for a restful home from home.
My first experience with airbnb at Rich's beautiful home is probably hard to top. Everything was spotless clean, Rich very helpful and welcoming. If you are looking for a comfortable stay in Cheltenham, I can highly recommend this accomodation.
I was staying here for a couple of weeks for my study and I really had a pleasant stay.
Rich and Dave are very nice hosts and Its a nice quiet and spacious house. The location is on walking distance from the centre of Cheltenham and less then 10 minutes drive to Gloucestershire airport. I would definitely stay here again.

We're Rich and Dave and we have a house in Cheltenham near the train station and about 25 minutes walk into town. The house is spacious, clean and comfortable.
We welcome considerate, non-smoking guests. We sometimes have family and friends staying or other commitments but often we have two single rooms available and also a double room if required. We lead busy lives and it's sometimes difficult to keep the calendar entirely up to date so please don't be disappointed if we have to decline a booking request. Feel free to drop us a message in advance of a booking just to check whether the dates you have in mind are available.
We are friendly and happy to chat but are also fairly quiet so if you want a much more social experience we may not be right for you!
