Hills View is a serene haven and escape from the bustle and noise of the city, with splendid panoramas of blue hills and lofty verdant peaks that beckon . And paradoxically, the neighbourhood is within a stone's throw of the main road with transport links to other parts of the city. We have an EasyMart, mini supermarket just a 5 minute walk away and several top-rated ethnic restaurants just a short ride away.

Hey there folks, My name is Jili M Ryan. I am an Indian and a native of upper Assam but my family moved to city of Guwahati in lower Assam roughly 20 years ago. Have you ever been to this part of India? You will notice that Guwahati's greenery is dominanted by the slender betel palms, which gives it the modern name 'Guwahati' i.e 'market of betel nuts'. The old name of Guwahati is Pragjyotispura, which means ‘the light of the east’. Guwahati is the gateway to northeast and has some of the best tourists attractions of Northeast India, it is also a good base, If you want to explore this relatively unexplored region, of India, a verdant region rich in culture, folklore, nature & wildlife and from which to plan your journey into the enchanting hills, plains and forests. Assam is one of the eight states that comprise the region of northeast India. The region includes the states of Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura and Meghalaya. Each of these states is beautiful in it’s own unique way. Growing up in one of the most beautiful and pristine parts of India, I naturally developed a love for nature and wildlife. I am very passionate about travelling & creative writing and so to keep my passions alive I travel to places where I can immerse myself in a different culture, witness new landscapes, meet new people and undertake novel adventures. I am a City Planner & Designer turned radical Environmentalist. I do travel writing when I get time. I am an alumni of School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi, Delhi School of Economics (New Delhi) and Miranda House, University of Delhi, India. I like offbeat, untrodden, uncharted places and I am so glad that Northeast India has so many hidden gems and relatively unexplored places that I can stay busy for the rest of my life exploring, learning and unlearning. I would love to reveal to you some of these unexplored gems if you are an adventurous soul like me. Some of my favorite movies are The Lord of the rings, Matrix, Batman movies, Under the Tuscan sun, The secret garden, Snow falling on Cedars and Cold mountain and I also love watching nature, wildlife and travel documentaries. My favourite countries in Asia are Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, India, Indonesia and the Philippines. This is my family house and you will probably meet my parents when you arrive. Although I am the main host for Blissful Eyrie, my parents will stand in for me whenever I am away travelling in other parts of the world. My parents are very down-to-earth people. They could be the nicest people you will meet on your trip. They are fluent in Assamese, Mishing, and Bengali. Their communication skills in English and Hindi are moderate. They are both retired and now stay at home full-time enjoying their lives. They have good geographical knowledge of northeast India, locations of places, bus routes, train routes, transport connectivity and the socio-political situation of the region. So if you have any questions or queries regarding northeast India, just fire away, they will be happy to help. I like people who are genuine, kind and unpretentious. I am open to a good chat and friendly banter. am quite patient with people and I am always ready to listen. I love an adventurous life and always try to overcome roadblocks with patience and positivity. I try to live my life by the compass and not by the clock. I welcome you into our home with open arms. I will do everything in my power to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I have a lot of experience living and travelling in this region and I can tell you the best things to do, the best places to eat, the best ways to get around etc. If we have time to spare we will cook you a beautiful traditional meal. I am sure that you will love your stay at my home. Looking forward to hosting you in Blissful Eyrie. I am the co-founder of adventure and budget travel blog at 'twobirdsbreakingfree' do check it out if you like off-beat adventure travels. Regards, Jili M Ryan
