Very clean and comfortable stay. Jane and husband friendly and very welcoming. Would recommend.
We can't complain about the house or area at all. It's convenient for Oxford and the Cotswolds. The neighbourhood was quiet and more rural than I was expecting. We didn't go in to Aylesbury but from what I read at the home it looks like it has plenty of options for eating out. The room was nice, TV, tea/coffee facilities, a nice bed and bathroom.
When I think of Airbnb I think of a stay where you have more interaction with the hosts than a normal bed & breakfast. We didn't think we got this here. We only seemed to see the hosts when we arrived, ate and left. We ate on our own except when talking to Paul to try and keep him around for longer. With all the doors closed we definitely felt that we were in someone else's house. We loved the cat, hope the other one is found soon.
We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us - mostly! How strange that you felt that you were in someone else's house because that is exactly where you were! Our lounge and kitchen doors are kept shut all the time, AIRBNB guests or not, because our cats are kept downstairs and not allowed upstairs to bedrooms etc. We are happy to welcome people to our home but we chose to maintain our privacy, and offer the same privacy to our guests, which to date has been appreciated by the many guests we have hosted. In fact we actively seek to not impose ourselves sorry that you were disappointed by this. The breakfast we offer is complimentary. BTW Our missing cat walked in after 5 nights away and is recovering!
Jane and Paul are a lovely couple. They made me feel really welcome. The house is large with big windows and large mature gardens. It was a really pleasant and comfortable stay. The room is exactly as it is on the photo. I stayed there as I work away from home. It is really convenient for Aylesbury but the location is peaceful which was ideal. I had toast and cereals for breakfast and I opted for an evening meal too which was lovely. Great value for money. I would stay there again and recommend this Bob. Thanks folks
This was my first Air bnb stay and it was everything I hoped it would be. Lovely safe, welcoming house and everything I could possibly need. Jane and her husband were very friendly and made me feel at home. Thank you very much.
About the Host, Jane
Our children have grown up and moved on (most of the time) so rather a large quiet house for just us and our two cats! Paul and I both work from home but in different fields. We enjoy Blues and regularly see live bands.
