Welcome to Mount Gilead Farm! We are a family-run working goat dairy and farm with lots of animals and even more stories. We offer a Provençal style room complete with a queen-sized bed, a full bathroom, a kitchenette, and Netflix. The patio out front has a picnic table and wonderful views of animals in pastures complete with the sound of our babbling brook. Check out our outdoor shower and fire pit too! The space
If you are wanting to get away from the busy city life then we have the room for you! At any given time, you can see numerous things happening on our farm from goats lazily grazing on the hillside to horses galloping in the fields. All questions are welcome and we are happy to talk about our livelihood on this family-run farm Breakfast is included and we ask that when you book, please let us know ahead of time if you have any allergies. Please note that no pets are allowed on the farm or in the units.
Guest access
You will have a patio with a picnic table next to a stream, access to a wonderful outdoor shower and a fire pit as well--wood included! You also have the ability to stroll around the property and see any one of our ongoing farm projects. Animals may be interacted with from the opposite sides of gates. We have quite the hill that can be hiked for wonderful views in all directions.
Other things to note
There is always someone doing something on the farm. Farmer Bob, a previous academic, can be found strolling down the lane smoking a pipe and ready with any kind of story to tell. Farmer Zach can be found fixing fences, welding steel, riding horses or just relaxing around the barn. We are always happy to talk to guests about our newfound livelihood.

Neighborhood highlights
We are about 9 miles from downtown Asheville and a pleasant 20-minute country ride to our farm. The closest convenience store is about 5 minutes away. The closest food store is Ingles and is 10 minutes away. You will not have any special vehicle to get to your destination. It is somewhat quiet in our area except for our chickens and goats.
