Charming high ceilinged characterful room in super flat in a quiet Victorian (19th Century) in a beautiful, quiet street in Camden, very near to the famous Camden market and Regent's Park. You have use of 39 square meter, and is perfect for 2 people, though 4 can stay, if needed.
A home, quiet, very safe with a good, modern kitchen, with small fridge and clothes washing machine.
This is a nice flat in central London, perfect for touristing or as a stay, instead of more expensive (and normally not as nice) Bed and Breakfast accommodation available in London.
Comfortable double sofa bed and a 26 inch screen TV, freeview and free wifi are included as well as obligatory cleaning, towels and linen, too; so no need to bring linen.
It's only 2 minutes walk to restaurants, shops, bars, pubs and cafes etc. and has a view to lovely gardens from the kitchen.
There is a preferred stay about 3-4 nights, though please get in touch, if you have any questions about this:)
If you want to bring additional guests, on top of the 2 people staying, please add 40% on top of the price. Maximum 4 people can stay and 2 of them will make use of a very comfortable luxurious self-inflatable mattress, which is a dream to sleep on!
Please remember that you may be sharing the flat with me. I am very easy going and will be at hand if you need anything, but otherwise you probably won't notice me :)
The kitchen, bathroom, hallway and of course the studio are all available for your use and you'll have your own key, so you can come and go as you please, as it will be your home for the stay.
Naturally, I'll help you as much as I can with your stay, and if you have any questions during your stay, I am willing to help. Most people treat it as a studio flat, which in effect it is, in terms of the space you use.
I think Camden is the best place to live in London, as it's near to everything, in a really safe neighborhood and beautiful street, with nearby attractions.
There is plenty of pleasant strolls in the nearby area, including well known Primrose Hill (where film stars, for example Jude Law, live), Regent's Park and Hampstead Heath, for example.
It is super easy to get to the Camden from all the London airports as Camden is directly North of the very centre of London. In other words it has easy acces to and from all the London airports. Please calculate about 2 hours from arrival from any of the airports to the flat door, unless you take a bus (slower) or taxi (not much quicker). If you only have hand luggage, take off half an hour for the travel, normally. Let me know the airport you are arriving at and I can direct you easily to the flat:)
There is a map, which includes both overground rail/train services and the tube/underground services. It is available on Transport for London website, I believe.
Camden underground station:
Literally 4 minutes walk from the flat, which takes you to Leicester Square and Covent Garden, Oxford Street (I.e. the West End), or King's/St Pancras and Liverpool Street Station within about 15 mins from your door.
there are many buses available, day and night, as well as local taxi firms and black taxis nearby.
Barclays cycle hire:
very popular, though be safe in the traffic, as London is not perhaps as friendly as some other cities, to cycle in. You use a bicycle (sponsored by Barclays Bank) for a maximum 30 minutes at a go (with a 10 minutes break between each trip) for about 1 pound per day. Docking stations, where you pick up the bike(s) are within 2 minutes form the flat :)
Rickshaws, boats on the river, tourist buses, London Eye:
In the centre of London there is also bicycle rickshaws, which are quite fun (though maybe a bit pricey) but go in them at your own risk. The boats on the river are worth the money as is a trip into Camden from Little Venice with a longboat or going from Hampton Court Castle by boat (about 4 hours). London Eye, the large iconic ferry wheel by the Thames river is a nice experience, too.
There are several major train stations serving London, and all are easy to get to from the flat, too.
The good thing is, if you fancy walking home from the very centre of London, it is not too far to walk, though there is always transport, day and night.
The best thing is to (website hidden) the trip you want to go, as it gives you super information, whether you go by train, bus, underground-tube, car or by foot.
Please read the listing as most information is there, and if it is not, please do search in the website search engines for London first, before contacting me, if possible.
I have included a lot of info here, but please feel free to contact, should you need to, of course:)
I would normally need at least one day's notice, though I would prefer more notice, of course. Also, please make sure you provide a photo of yourself on your won listing, and make sure I can reach you by phone before booking, please.
If you want to see a show etc, please try to book it before you come, so you get a good price, as musicals for example are very popular.
Marcus was a very nice host who gave us a detailed tour through the apartment and allowed us to use the place and everything as if it was our home. The location is also great for getting to know London a little bit off the touristic hustle.
Marcus is an excellent host. Very welcoming and friendly. We've had spoken before arriving, he answers always intant. The room is equipped with a sofa-bed, a table, chairs, TV and a big window with views to the street. Wifi worked perfectly. Good shower and clean bathroom and kitchen. He provided us toliletries, towels and hair dryer. He explained us how to use electronic gadgets of the kitchen. There is also a machine to make natural juice. The apartment is located in a quiet street about 5 minutes walk from Camden Town tube station. Cafes, restaurants, shops and markets are around the corner. We had a great stay in Marcus' apartment. It offers complete privacy and autonomy.
Marcus is a very kind host, he is confidencial and nice. We had a great time.
The appartment is small but absolutely perfect for 2 people. He leaves you the use of the kitchen and the bathrooom.
The location is great:close to Camdem station, pub resturants ,,,the apartment is in a very quite street, anif you need there is a publick transport bus strait to Victoria.
The reservation was canceled 47 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The apartment is of a decent size and located in a safe and quiet neighbourhood. The Camden Town station is a short walk and surrounded by shops and restaurants. The tube connection from Camden Town is convenient. I would recommend this apartment over the B&Bs located in central London.
Nice apartment, comfortable, clean and very well located. The area is perfect, not too touristy. Lots of nice restaurants and pub.
I booked Marcus's apartment for my cousins and he was willing to keep communication and help us with any qustion we had!
OK. The apartment is small but very well equipped. This not a complaint just the facts. For the cost it is a great place.
Good pub at the end of the street, good restaurants just past the pub, Camden Town underground just past the restaurants which connect to the centre of the city. Easy walk to London Zoo and regents park, especially along the Regents Canal.
Marcus was very helpful and gave us a full run down on the apartment and all the equipment. In short, a good value place to stay in London.
I'm sorry Jean, but this sounds like a complaint, the way you commented on the size of the flat. It was advertised already, so I suggest you'd not book something which is not to your liking size-wise. Obviously a place cannot be a big as in Australia, and I don't know why you would comment on its size, for it is stated in the ad. Of course, you must understand I am commenting on it, for it affects if people book or not. You write about the size in a negative way, then say it is not. I wish you'd not written that, as I am very proud of my home, and found your comment unnecessary, and also could affect people, as a lot of people don't go beyond the first sentences when looking for flats. If you could take that off, I do think this would be better, unless you mean for it to damage my ability to rent out. Sorry but I am quite disappointed, and find it very odd. I really do not understand why you would start the comments with something which bears no relevance, for you write later on that it is good value. Sorry, not happy with that, and I wish you'd know to write better. It's as if you'd be renting a small, good car, then begin commenting on its small size. Why would anyone do that? Get a bigger place, then, or a bigger car, but don't comment on it, I suggest.
