The bathroom is modern, clean, with a new shower unit and has everything included, shampoo, soap, towels, but alas, no bathtub. Some authors come to do some writing here, which I understand, as it is very nice and quiet. The street is unusually wide for Camden, which adds to making it one of the most beautiful streets here.

The Space

Charming high ceilinged characterful room in super flat in a quiet Victorian (19th Century) beautiful, quiet street in Camden, very near to the famous Camden market and Regent's Park. You have use of 39 square meter, and is perfect for 2 people, though 4 can stay, if needed. Children are welcome, children under 13 go free, though any child would count towards the amount of people staying. Babies are also welcome, though I don't have any particular bed for them, so this would needs bringing with you.

A home, quiet, very safe with a good, modern kitchen, with small fridge and new clothes washing machine.

This is a nice flat in central London, perfect for touristing or as a stay, instead of more expensive (and normally not as nice, and even smaller too) Bed and Breakfast accommodation available in London. If the flat is shared you always have your own room and you would only be sharing the modern bathroom and kitchen and hallway.

Comfortable new custom made double sofa bed and a 26 inch screen TV, freeview and free wifi are included as well as towels and linen and obligatory cleaning, in other words, no need to bring any linen.

It's only 2 minutes walk to good, affordable Camden restaurants, shops, bars, pubs, music venues and cafes etc. and the flat has a view to lovely gardens from the kitchen.

Maximum 4 people can stay and 2 of them will make use of a very comfortable, luxurious self-inflatable mattress, which is a dream to sleep on!

Please remember that you may be sharing the flat with me. I am very easy going and quiet. I will show you how the flat works, it takes 5 minutes, when you arrive and will be at hand if you need anything, but otherwise you probably won't notice me much!

Guest Access

The kitchen, bathroom, hallway and of course the studio are all available for your use and you'll have your own key, so you can come and go as you please, as it will be your home for the stay.

Interaction with Guests

Naturally, I'll help you as much as I can with your stay, and if you have any questions during your stay, I am willing to help. Most people treat it as a studio flat, which in effect it is, in terms of the space you use.

The Neighborhood

I think Camden is the best place to live in London, as it's near to everything, in a really safe neighborhood and beautiful street, with nearby attractions.

There is plenty of pleasant strolls in the nearby area, including well known Primrose Hill (where film stars, for example Jude Law, live), Regent's Park and Hampstead Heath, for example.

Camden Market is the largest in the world, Regent's Park is one of London's two larger parks - all within about 4 minutes!

The street you'd be living is also one of the most beautiful in Camden, and though it is near (4 minutes from the flat door) to the busy High Street and Camden tube station, it is still very peaceful :) From Camden tube you get into the very centre of London in literally 15 minutes, as Camden Town is literally directly north of the very centre of London, ie Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square! It is also so near to Kings Cross/St Pancras (10 minutes by tube), which is the train station, where you connect to Camden, either from Eurostar, or any of the airports!

Getting Around

It is super easy to get to the Camden from all the London airports as Camden is directly North of the very centre of London. In other words it has easy access to and from all the London airports. Please calculate about 2 hours from arrival from any of the airports to the flat door, unless you take a bus (slower) or taxi (not much quicker really, but vastly more expenisve).

If you only have hand luggage, take off half an hour for the travel, normally.

Let me know the airport you are arriving at and I can direct you easily to the flat:)

There is a map, which includes both overground rail/train services and the tube/underground services. It is available on Transport for London website, I believe.

From Stanstead:

Camden underground station:
Literally 4 minutes walk from the flat, which takes you to Leicester Square and Covent Garden, Oxford Street (I.e. the West End), or King's/St Pancras and Liverpool Street Station within about 15 mins from your door.

Buses, taxi:
there are many buses available, day and night, as well as local taxi firms and the world famous London Black Taxis nearby.

Barclays/Santander cycle hire:
very popular, though try to be safe in the traffic, as London is not perhaps as safe and bicycle friendly as some other cities, to cycle in.

You use a bicycle (sponsored by Barclays Bank or the Santander Bank) for a maximum 30 minutes at a go (with a 10 minutes break between each trip) for about 2 pounds per day. Docking stations, where you pick up the bike(s) are within 2 minutes walk from the flat, in Parkway, on the way to the Camden Town underground station -

Rickshaws, boats on the river, tourist buses, London Eye:
In the centre of London there is also bicycle rickshaws, which are quite fun (though maybe a bit pricey - really be careful as some try to rip people off - ie charge an unreasonable amount of money - just refuse if this happens, and threaten with the police, and they'll stop - they are expensive, but fun, and normally I don't hear about overcharging, but just in case, be careful!) and remember that you go in them at your own risk when it comes to traffic safety of course. Having said this, it could be a fun, and a bit of an exciting experience, to go through the fast London centre street in a rickshaw!

The boats on the river are definitely worth the money (I go aas often as I can, and love it, seeing London from its best angle - the river Thames!) and so is a trip into Camden Lock (close to the flat) from Little Venice with a longboat or indeed going from Hampton Court Castle by boat (about 4 hours - recommended in the spring/summer!) - amazing, and different.

London Eye, the large iconic ferry wheel by the Thames river is a nice experience, too.

There are several major train stations serving London, and all are easy to get to from the flat, too. I do not recommend going either with Gatwick Express or Heathrow Express, not because of the price only, but because they both arrive at the 'wrong' train station - from Gatwick, take the normal train to Kings Cross instead, and from Heathrow take the underground straight to Kings Cross, where you change to the tube and go North to Camden Town!

The good thing is, if you fancy walking home from the very centre of London, it is not too far to walk, though there is always bus, taxi transport, day and night. Now London also has 24 hour tube opening hours on Friday and Saturday nights -

The best thing is to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) the trip you want to go, as it gives you super information, whether you go by train, bus, underground-tube, car or by foot.

If you arrive in a car, there is parking outside the flat, and it is almost never full - though you would need to check the Congestion Charging, and also parking costs with the local council, Camden Council.

Other Things to Note

For the period of January, I am looking for a long term stay, if possible.

Please read the listing as most information is there, and if it is not, please do search in the website search engines for London first, before contacting me, if possible.

I have included a lot of info here, but please feel free to contact me, should you need to, of course:)

I would normally need at least one day's notice, if possible, but please don't hesitate to contact, as I might be able to accommodate on the day!

Also, please make sure you provide a photo of yourself on your own listing, as well as verify your identification on airbnb and also kindly make sure I can reach you by phone before booking, please. This makes it easier and smoother to book, for me, and I appreciate you doing this before requesting :)

If you want to see a musical/theatre show in the West End/London theatre land etc, please try to book it before you come, so you get a good price, as musicals for example are very popular (and can be expensive on the day - though there are still deals to be had if you don't book in advance - information to be found via the internet, searching under words like 'half price theatre tickets London' etc).

I've lived in London since 1990, and seen it grow into an amazing place - I love the city, and if you are interested in something special, I might have a tip or two of places or things to do that I love!

House Rules
No smoking
Not suitable for pets
No parties or events
Check-in is after 1PM

Please treat my flat as if it were your own home and, as it is a residential area, it is not a party flat, but a nice, relaxing and safe bolt hole from which you can easily discover literally all that London has to offer:) As in any home, one would exepct it to be reasonably quiet betweeen 11am and 8am, kindly :)

You cannot smoke in or outside the flat or building, I'm afraid, but there is a really nice corner cafe/delicatessen next door, where you could go and sit and smoke outside, for example (it is not legal to smoke inside in the UK, in any case).

Smoke detector
Carbon monoxide detector

I live in central London, Camden, 4 mins from Regents Park and the underground in a charming, quiet, one way street and I like travelling myself and love having guests staying.

I am quite active in the arts and socialising with friends, colleagues and I like improving myself as well as running one or two businesses.

I like meeting new people too and am open minded and easy going.
