Interaction with Guests
I will meet and greet you on check in and orient you to the minor details. For short stays in the private room, I will do my best to disappear for most of your stay. I can't promise that for stays longer than four days, however.
Great views of the foothills and there's a nice walking path past an aged-old Cottonwood tree that is amazing. This location is super convenient to get north to the Poudre Canyon, Red Feather (Shambala Mountain Center) or Wyoming. And yet only 7 minutes drive-time from Old Town Fort Collins, the social hub of the City.
The City Bus line is within two blocks walking distance
Other Things to Note
I am a vegetarian (for 32 years after reading John Robbins' Diet for a New America in 1982) and so have never cooked or stored meat of any kind in the house. I do require there to be no cooking or storing of meat (of any kind) in the house. Thanks.
Please no smoking of anything on the premises.
Very much enjoyed staying here for a second time. Dhara was a great host, helpful and accommodating. The house is very comfortable and in a great location, especially since I don't have a car.
The house was indeed very charming, as was the host. I had a very good stay here for three-and-a-bit weeks while I collaborated on a project with CSU.
Dhara was very welcoming an helping during the stay. The house is in a nice area, close to some shops etc. I would (and have booked to) stay here again.
Dhara was a great hostess. She was easy to communicate with, eager to make my stay comfortable and open to every need. On top of that she's a lot of fun. I found my experience much more comfortable and relaxing than a hotel and hope to stay with her the next time I am in town.
Dhara was a wonderful introduction to my life in Fort Collins. I stayed with Dhara for a month while I was waiting to move into my place. From the beginning, she was warm, welcoming, and genuinely concerned with my well being. The house is clean, cozy and a convenient location from CSU and Old Town. She was also very accommodating about providing a space for my bike, skis and other stuff while I was in transition. Although we did not get to spend a lot of time together, I truly enjoyed the opportunities to get to know more about her and her life. She has such a positive energy and it permeates throughout her home. Thank you!
I stayed at Dhara's place for a month when I moved into Fort Collins, and had a great time. The room was cozy and the house had a nice atmosphere, and more over Dhara was such a nice host who made me feel like staying at my own place... I am really glad that I started my new life in Fort Collins at Dhara's place. Many thanks!
Dhara welcomed me like a close friend or sister, and we found we had many things in common. I immediately felt at home in her comfortable home. Teak the dog was cute and friendly. The location was perfect for my 2 night stay. I even got to do laundry--helpful since this was a halfway location in a 2 week trip. I would highly recommend Dhara's home, and hope to come back some day in the not to distant future.
I appreciate good conversation, belly laughs, warm hugs and genuine smiles. I do my best to not take my self too seriously. Life is short. Best to enjoy the ride. Say my prayers and move my feet. Hold on Tightly. Let Go Lightly. What is mine will come to me. This too shall pass.
