The Space

Welcome to a new idea in travel and adventure. This is Cre8Stay. Visit (email hidden)

We will create with you - before and during your visit an experience just for you. Live, local and experiential. We want you to take part in all that Cambridge, the Hub and New England have to offer.

Whether you're visiting on long vacation, writing a book, doing research or taking sabbatical - we'd love to have you challenge us in the most special way.

Imagine live workshops in culture - art, music, dance or sport. We find them or bring them to you. How about the culinary arts? We can teach, host or share. Feel like heading off to other parts of New England, Quebec or New York - we can arrange it from your home base in Cambridge.

penthouse duplex with charming roofdeck....space for yoga and plantings.
large, charming and unusual living space with bedrooms, bathrooms, dining/living room, kitchen and laundry. wonderful art. and hospitable host who's a very good chef.

across from a yoga school, near others in Inman, Central and Kendall.

Guest Access

Guest have access to their space, a bathroom for mostly exclusive use, a 2nd bathroom for shared use, all common facilities, a bike, a health club and a parking space (with restrictions)

Interaction with Guests

I seek to balance interaction - between a warm community setting and respect for boundaries. Ideally, once per week we share a meal - family style. Breakfast often together. Time for co-existing, a trip or two together often, and sometimes I travel and you will have the place to yourselves, as long as you can take care of it as if it's your own.

The Neighborhood

I love the proximity to culture, diversity and spaces. Some great places to eat, work out, learn and hangout. Closeness to the all-world library. Near MIT and Harvard. Near yoga and aikido. Near music.

Getting around

You can get around by foot (walk/run/stroll), bike (I've one for you), bus or T, car and even the airport is only 20 minutes away.

Other Things to Note

I invite us to cre8 a cre8stay that is imaginative and that we can make real. Everything is possible here.

  • I visited Michael with a colleague in May 2014 and stayed at his home for one month. The experience was great and Michael made things easy from the very beginning.

First of all, we had regular communications with Michael before our arrival. We would have liked to stay in two separate rooms but there was only one room available in our dates. However, Michael made big efforts to try to find alternatives, reporting to us at every step; this is something we really appreciated. With Michael it was very easy to build mutual trust before the arrival.

Once in the house, Michael turned out to be a great host. He showed us the area and we could share several meals with him both in local restaurants and at home. Conversations with Michael were always open and friendly and we could learn a lot from his experience. I particularly like staying with locals rather than in hotels in order to know more about the local culture. With Michael this was definitely the case; the three of us created a bond far beyond the mere guest-host relationship, and had a shared intense cultural and learning experience. This is something that I would absolutely recommend to anybody.

Regarding the house, this is definitely a warm place, ideal for longer stays, and where you can really feel at home. The area is pretty quiet and the location is very convenient for scholars and professors going to MIT or Harvard for a sabbatical (10-15 minutes walking!). The living room and kitchen are spacious and comfortable and the rooftop has nice views of the Boston skyline.

Finally, I would like to mention the most important inhabitant in the house, Yürei, Michael’s dog. She is a Samoyed puppy, gorgeous, loving and playful. She certainly cheered up our days. Everybody loves her; it is impossible not to love her.

All in all, we had a great stay at Michael's house and we would definitely repeat in our next visit to Boston.

  • Awesome stay, awesome house and awesome host. Highly recommended!
Location is perfect - 10 minutes walk to subway station, grocery stores. 30 minutes walk+ride from Boston downtown.
Michael was very helpful and friendly. Looking forward to meet you again!

  • I loved staying at Michael's place - he's a phenomenal host and became a good friend. His place is lovely, very quiet, but centrally located with lots of restaurants, shops, book stores nearby. The roof top is a real treat, with great views of the city. The kitchen is great - very new - and my room was perfect, with a little desk so that I could work at home, too. During my six weeks in Cambridge Michael let me use his bike and even his car (when he didn't need it). Plus: He's fluent in German! Michael really made my stay a memorable experience. I'm looking forward to coming back someday!

  • Michael is a phenomenal host, with a centrally located home that offers more amenities and convenience than anyone could ask for. My business partner and I spent over three months living with Michael as we focused on launching a new startup. In this time, Michael became a friend that we’ll continue to keep in touch with.

Michael was very attentive in ensuring that the place was kept clean, well stocked with food, and that we were always comfortable. We enjoyed getting dinner and engaging in thoughtful conversation with Michael, whether it be at a local Inman Square eatery, or on his rooftop. You’ll also feel safe with Michael knowing that he is an Aikido master!

It goes without saying, we had a great overall experience allowing us to focus on what we had set out to accomplish while in Cambridge. Michael truly takes the concept of “bed and breakfast” to the next level. Next time I’m in town, I’ll be sure to give Michael a call.

  • I stayed at Michael place almost 2 month. It is very cozy and quiet. I enjoyed privacy of the room and proximity to all attractions in Cambridge. The place is full of arts and collectable items. It has unique spirit of New England.
Michael is a great host, interesting companion and generous person. I got complimentary breakfasts and was able to ride his bike. Weekly room service and laundry facility at the place made my student life much easier. We spent time together doing sports, chatting on history and art topics, having dinners at the roof platform and enjoying spectacular view.
Once I'm back to Cambridge I'll definitely stay at Michael place again.

  • I've spent more than 5 weeks at Michael's place and this was a perfect stay ! Michael is a great host, very helpful and very motivated. We've done some sports and restaurants together and he showed me a lot of nice places in Cambridge and Boston. The situation of the house is very good, 10 min walk to the MIT, T stop and lot of shops. I hope I could come back soon to Boston to stay again at this place !

  • Our stay with Michael in Cambridge was absolutely amazing! From the first contact through airbnb, Michael was responsive and accommodating. His home is fantastic - great art, books, plenty of space (the rooftop deck and its views are incredible) and all the amenities you could possibly want when on vacation. Electronic locks on the doors so you can come and go as you please. Just a short 5-10 minute walk to the nearest T stop and anywhere in Boston is within your reach. Michael himself was a fantastic host - warm, engaging, and genuinely interested in making our experience memorable. Next time we're coming to Boston, Michael will be the first person we call. If you are able to stay with him, don't miss dinner and an amazing beer selection at Lord Hobo, just around the corner...
