Forest bathing, Shinrin Yoku. Sleeping in a hammock. In Japan, it is prescribed as a medication for stress. Around the world, people regularly hang their beds on trees. I thought it was great, but I didn't have the nerve to just hang out in a forest.

So I created a place in my mini forest where people can experience the real outdoors. Are you an outback fan and want to hang out for a night? You are welcome!

The space
There are already two hammocks in the back of the garden (with mosquito nets). Do you even bring your own sleeping bag? There's a fireplace to cook. In the central house a long way away, you will find a shower and toilet. The sounds of animals at night, the sky full of stars, the beautiful sunrise and sunset are free.

Come bathe yourself in natural scents, sounds, tastes and let all your senses enjoy. Just relax, okay? More and more doctors are discovering what nature does with an overwhelmed mind. The soft cradle in the hammock provides more relaxation than any medication.

You can only rent the hammock (s) (this ad), or you can rent the tiny house (Finnish Kota) with it (see my other ad).

Where you’ll be

Zegge, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands

Zegge is a small church village in North Brabant. This village is a pilgrimage site. In the month of May, many pilgrims walk to the large church in this village.

Nearby you will find Oudenbosch, with the beautiful Basilique. Experience the peace and the collection of special trees in the arboretum near the station.

You can hike and cycle to your heart's content in our surroundings. Explore the old forests between Hoeven and Bosschenhoofd. For the children here is the largest outdoor swimming paradise Splesj. Wander around the Rucphen Heath, which is at its most beautiful in August, visit the beautiful Heemtuin in Rucphen, eat an ice cream at the ice farm in Nispen or bike along the many villages in the area. Vincent van Gogh's Brabant footprints are not far from here (Zundert). Along the way you will find all kinds of local products, such as asparagus (from May 1st to June 21st) and strawberries.

A little further away you will find the Biesbosch (38 km) and the island of Tiengemeten (38 km), both with a unique flora and fauna and wonderful hiking opportunities.

Within 10 (car)minutes you will be in Belgium. A little less than fifteen minutes from the border you can walk over the Kalmthoutse Heide. You can visit the famous arboretum or the Suske-en-Wiske Museum of Kalmthout. Or on Sunday morning to the cozy small farmers' market in Kapellen (B).

Zeeland can also be reached within an hour by car from here.

If you prefer cities, Dordrecht (35 km), Breda (23 km), Roosendaal (6.5 km) and Bergen op Zoom (22 km) are all nearby.

Further afield for our international guests: Amsterdam (128 km), Brussels (112 km), Rotterdam (56 km), Antwerp (59 km), Bruges (132 km), Den Bosch (74 km), Eindhoven (84 km)
