Julie is a very friendly and accommodating host. The cottage is very tidy. Fairly basic facilities, but an ideal base for exploring Snowdonia / walking trips. Without the electric heaters running continuously (we went in Feb) it could get draughty, and there is no hot water in the bathroom sink. But very cosy over all, and we loved the electric blanket... We had a great time.
We had a great stay at the woodland retreat, it was definitely the relaxing break that we were craving! Julie was such a welcoming host and ensured that the heaters and electric blanket were on for when we arrived! The location is great, the apartment was clean and had everything that we needed and the wifi worked throughout our stay! We will definitely be back!
Julie and Geoff made us feel very welcome. We arrived late on a Friday night and the heating and electric blanket was already on for us! Very inviting!
Lovely little woodland retreat.
Bethesda is a beautiful place and we would love to return :)

Julie and Geoff were wonderful hosts. The accommodation was clean and homely with everything you could possibly need. They were extremely kind by offering us lifts to and from the station and we enjoyed a lovely cup of tea on arrival! Overall we had a fantastic time and would love to return.
Unfortunately we had to cancel this trip last minute due to illness. Julie made it very easy for us and kindly gave us a refund. Looking forward to re-booking at a better time!
Julie was so lovely and helpful, the little cottage was really comfortable and had everything we needed and more (Julie stocked it so well) and the setting is beautiful, yet only 10 minutes' walk via a gorgeous path 'through the woods' to the town. The town is also really cute. The only thing we found difficult was getting the shower water hot enough unfortunately, but for just a couple of days this didn't matter so much. Thanks for everything, Julie!
Julie was a fantastic host. When we arrived on a cold, dark January night her husband Geoff made us a cup of tea and we entered a cosy, clean retreat. The electric blanket was on, as was the heater, and I was touched that Julie had gone to the trouble of making the place ready for our arrival as she herself was in work at the time.
The kitchen came complete with welsh cakes, bread, cheese and milk which meant we didn't have to worry about getting any of the necessities.
Julie's directions were perfect and we had no trouble finding her place. Her family were friendly and welcoming. The wifi was a little grumpy but we were welcomed into the house to use Julie's own wifi if we wanted to. We spent most of our time outside exploring however so this wasn't a problem for us at all.
I hope you had a lovely birthday Julie, best wishes to you and your lovely family for 2015 and onwards!!
Living in the woods in Snowdonia with husband, two gorgeous boys aged 11 & 14 and 2 crazy cats Ron & Jelly, surrounded by nature and millions of stars overhead. Love meeting open-minded and interesting people and getting to know them over some good food. Love music, art and literature. Heaven is a good rummage around car boot sales or junk shops and finding a gem to bring home. House full of clocks, snowstorms, old tea sets, books, birdfood and fun. Everyone welcome x
