I stayed for 3 nights at Julie's cabin. It is in a lovely peaceful location, that is only 5 minutes drive from the shops/services in Bethesda. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had everything I needed for a short stay, including milk in the fridge and Welsh cakes provided. Even the Wi-fi was very good, which is a surprise for such a rural area. Both Julie and Geoff were very friendly and welcoming, and I would certainly try and stay here the next time I visit Snowdonia.
We had a lovely, comfortable stay. The hosts were very friendly and left us bread, milk, butter and treats in our room. Our first air b&b experience was better than we could have hoped.
Julie and Geoff were the perfect hosts! So welcoming and friendly. The added of bonus of scrummy welsh cakes, all your kitchen essentials...a seriously comfy bed... All in wonderful, tranquil surroundings! Wouldn't have changed anything. Maybe just the fact that we had to leave and go to work on Monday!
Julie is the most caring host I have ever met. She and her family made our stay so comfortable. Boys loved the zip line. A few minutes past the zip is a gorgeous walk into Snowdonia.
Thank you to Julie and Geoff for making us feel so welcome. Julie was very helpful and very quick to return my messages when I had a question. The apartment was perfect for us, perfect location for what we wanted to do, it had everything we needed in it and we slept very well as the bed was very comfortable!! We had a great stay here and would definitely come back and stay here again! Thanks again to Julie for being a great host!
We had a great time staying at Julie's place. There were many thoughtful touches like fresh cut flowers, fresh bread, tea etc. that we really appreciated. It was a great base to do some hiking in the beautiful area. The only thing I will say is that initially finding Julie's place was pretty tricky. I can't imagine trying it without a GPS. I would advise to ensure that you're clear on the instructions. But otherwise great!
We had a great time in Julie and Geoff's cottage. It is small but extremely well equiped. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and it is so well organised! There are lots of extras in the cottage too such as a small set of binoculars. We slept extremely well as it was so quiet and the bed so comfortable. It is another place we have stayed in where there was far more to see and do than we had time for. Four days wasn't enough. Julie and Geoff were really pleasant and easy to get along with. Our ferry was cancelled and we had to change our arrival time to much later but they weren't the least bit perturbed. A great place to stay!
About the Host, Julie
Living in the woods in Snowdonia with husband, two gorgeous boys aged 11 & 14 and 2 crazy cats Ron & Jelly, surrounded by nature and millions of stars overhead. Love meeting open-minded and interesting people and getting to know them over some good food. Love music, art and literature. Heaven is a good rummage around car boot sales or junk shops and finding a gem to bring home. House full of clocks, snowstorms, old tea sets, books, birdfood and fun. Everyone welcome x
