Our Park Slope townhouse is bright & airy. A few minutes walk to hip restaurants, a farmer's market, gourmet groceries, boutique shopping for clothing, jewelry, wine, vintage furniture and Prospect Park. 20 minutes to Manhattan F/G/R trains.
About the neighborhood:
Our 1901 townhouse is located on a pretty, tree-lined block in Park Slope, Brooklyn where everyone knows each other. We are within a few minutes walk of some of the best jazz (Barbes), baguettes (Colson's), boutiques (Bird, Otto, Goldy & Mac), specialty food markets (Russo's, Union Market) and dining (Talde, Fonda, Applewood). You can walk to Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Museum, Children's Museum or the Prospect Park Zoo.
We are 2 blocks to the F, G & R trains where you can get to the Lower East Side and Soho in 20 minutes. The F will take you to Dumbo, the West Village, Chelsea and Midtown. Hop on the G to get to Fort Greene, Williamsburg and Greenpoint. The R will bring you to Chinatown, Soho, Union Square and further north.
About our house:
The townhouse is a three-bedroom, 1.5 bathroom triplex that is sunny, open and modern. The parlor floor has a sunny living room with a deep down-filled sofa. The kitchen features carrera marble countertops, stainless steel appliances and a vintage mid-century modern dining table that seats 10 when fully extended. There is a half bath with Toto fixtures and carrera marble.
The second floor has two bedrooms and a full bath as well as a washer/dryer unit. One bedroom has bunk beds; we also have a portable crib for babies.
The second bedroom is currently used as a media room and there is a very comfortable and brand new sofa bed that folds open to a full-sized bed (it's the new kind where the cushions open flat rather than pull out a metal frame and folded mattress).
The entire third floor is the master bedroom with a queen-sized bed, exposed beams and brick. Views of lower Manhattan is the first thing you see when you wake up in the morning and the last thing you see when you go to bed at night.
The house has a large flat screen TV with Apple TV as well as wifi. We also provide fresh, soft and cozy sheets and towels for you.
We will leave you with delicious organic coffee, teas, milk, fruit, breads and yogurts for breakfast.
If you have children, we are all set up for them with bunk beds, a portable crib, toys, a high chair, booster seats, and scooters.
Please feel free to have a friend who might be in town come by to check it out. We also speak Spanish and French.
We charge $90/visit so that we may bring in our lovely cleaning person, Lupita, to make sure things are clean and perfect for your arrival as well as to tidy up after you leave. We can be flexible on this if it a one night or weekend rental.
We have often hosted intergenerational families at the house and everyone says it works out really well. The different floors ensure a great deal of privacy and different spaces to be quiet/loud, so lots of people can do different things while all being at home.
Guests will have access to the back deck in the warmer months as well as a BBQ. There is generally lots of staples in the cupboards and refrigerator. Washer and dryer is on the second floor of the house.
We are generally not around as we will likely be away when you come stay at our house. However, we are always very reachable by phone, text and email. In addition we have local people who have extra keys, can come clean, etc.
Our neighborhood is very family-friendly while also being genuinely fun for adults to go out for meals, drinks, music, events. The best that brownstone Brooklyn has to offer is right outside our doors and Manhattan is a short train ride away.
I also love coming home to the green leafy streets after a day of being in Manhattan; it's a great respite.
Very convenient public transportation
Subway lines: F, G, R
Buses: B61, B67, B69
We had a lovely stay at this beautiful and welcoming home is Brooklyn! The location was convenient and the house itself was spacious and so well appointed! I would go back in a heartbeat!!

We had a family gathering this past weekend in Brooklyn, NY. Heather's home was the perfect place for us to spend time together. The house was lovely, clean, and well equipped. We had celebrated our grandson's 2nd birthday and our daughter's 26th birthday. We felt right at home and comfortable during the various snow storms and cold weather. Prospect Park was a nice walk to get outside and have fun in the snow. There are lot's of nice restaurants in the area. Heather was the perfect host and made checking in and out very easy. The reviews provided by airbnb were on target. We would visit again.

What a beautiful, spacious, warm, wonderful, nicely decorated and immaculately clean, inviting home! Our family of five stayed there over Christmas 2013! Our daughter and her husband had just had a baby, our first grandchild (!!!), and we all wanted to celebrate the birth as well as Christmas together. Heather was kind enough to leave their gorgeous Christmas tree up for us, making it that much more special. The master bedroom on the 3rd floor is knock-out -- spacious and cozy -- with a great view of Manhattan. The two rooms on the 2nd floor were very comfortable, and the full bathroom has a tub which is more comfortable than any I've used in years. The first floor, with its well-equipped kitchen opening to the dining area and living room, was of course where we spent most of our time. If the weather had permitted, we would definitely have used the attractive deck off the kitchen, with its very substantial deck furniture and a large gas grill. We appreciated having the use of the sound system, attaching our iPods and having as much music as we wanted. Park Slope is a great neighborhood, with cute little food markets, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and (for us) the best part: Prospect Park just three blocks away! We loved the convenience of walking everywhere we needed to go. Several of us walked around the entire park each day (3.5 miles) and loved it, even in the frigid cold! Our overall experience was so very, very positive; and my only consolation in leaving is the thought that we will someday go back. Heather's row home FEELS like home in every way. Thanks for a fabulous 8 days!
The house is beautiful and very confortable. The location was great for us and would definitely come back and recommend it to others. The host was very helpful and welcoming.
A lovely immaculate home where 4 adults were very comfortable. The kitchen proved a perfect place to create a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. We enjoyed it so much after three days, it felt like home. A beautiful place in a great location.
This is the best way to spend a family holiday in NYC. We felt at home the moment we walked into this beautiful and clean townhouse. My children enjoyed the TV room (with Netflix). And I enjoyed my music, because I could connect my iPod to the home stereo. The house is located in a friendly area with great restaurants, like: (email hidden) and (website hidden). Supermarkets are steps away and 24x7 open. The subway is only 1,5 block away and has direct connections to all major NYC landmarks. Last but not least, Heather is a great hostess. She responds very quickly and gave us a genuine welcome. We would recommend this place to all our best friends and family!
A great apartment on a quiet street and closed to the subway. The host could not have been more responsive, including checking in to make sure everything was in order. The apartment is close to the great restaurants and shops of Park Slope, but a block away from the hustle and bustle making for a relaxing environment.
Lovely accommodations in Park Slope. Generous and responsive hosts. Master bed, kids' bunk beds and double air mattress. Probably best for families of fewer than two adults, but doable for groups of any type, up to six people.
