A comfortable double room in a large family home with its own separate shower room. Guests also benefit from a comfortable private sitting area with flat screen television should you wish to relax in private. Conveniently located in Cheltenham.
Really lovely double bedroom with exclusive use of separate bathroom with twin sinks and shower. Not a huge room but with good storage and beautiful views of Leckhampton Hill.
We provide clean fluffy towels and our bed linen is all professionally laundered. You will also have exclusive use of own sitting room with flat screen tv so you will have your own privacy and space to relax.
The room is in a large family home located down a private drive in a lovely area of Cheltenham very close to the town centre. We have a large drive so plenty of secure private parking. Full cooked English breakfast is also included in the price or if you prefer fruit, cereal, porridge yogurts etc. Just let me know what you prefer before you arrive.
Leckhampton Hill is a local beauty attraction with wonderful scenery and walks but we also have the benefit of being very close to town.Cheltenham is renowned for hosting many excellent festivals including horse racing, the literature festival and the jazz festival. As well as some lovely parks, Cheltenham also has some fantastic examples of historical architecture such as Pittville Pump Room and the Town Hall.
Cheltenham is well situated for exploring the Cotswolds. You can easily reach the Malvern Hills and Forest of Dean by car if you're looking for outdoor adventure or you could visit some of the charming towns such as Winchcombe, Stow on the Wold, Broadway or Bourton-on-the-Water. Bristol, Bath and the historical town of Stratford-Upon-Avon are all easily accessible by public transport should you wish to travel further afield.
The Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty also contains a number of national and regional walking routes such as 'The Cotswolds Way Trail', 'Macmillan Way', 'Oxfordshire Way' and 'Shakespeare's Way'. Circular routes with self-guided leaflets are also plentiful.
The city of Gloucester is a short drive away, boasting a fine cathedral – where parts of the Harry Potter movies were filmed - and the recently regenerated Gloucester Docks area.
Our home is situated on the outskirts of Chelteham with a regular bus service close by. Within a 10 minute walk are all the shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants of the Bath Road and just beyond is the fashionable Regency area of Montpellier.
You can be assured of a warm welcome in our home.
Catherine and Nigel were very hospitable and made our stay in Cheltenham even more enjoyable. Beautiful home
within close enough proximity to the racecourse (reason for our stay), great breakfast and very generous hosts all round. Can't fault it. Highly recommended, will most definitely be looking to stay here for next years Cheltenham Festival.
What a superb alternative to a branded budget hotel or town centre B&B.
The property is located in an attractive location extremely handy for the centre of Cheltenham and with good access to the main north south and west roads. It is also a short journey to the railway station.
The room was spacious and beautifully furnished and the bathroom was what one would expect from a boutique hotel.
Breakfast was all one could wish for with high quality ingredients cooked to order in a spacious family kitchen/living space.
There is ample parking within the grounds of the property.
I will chose this property again when I next visit Cheltenham.
Our first experience of airbnb and such a good one. From the moment we arrived we were made so welcome, first by Nigel then later by Catherine. The room was clean and comfortable, the water hot and plentiful and a good choice for breakfast. We will be travelling to Cheltenham fairly regularly to see family and will definitely hope to stay with them again. Thank you so much for making us so welcome.
The reservation was canceled 9 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This booking was cancelled less than an hour after it was confirmed. I only just had confirmation from my daughter that I needed to be in Leeds for a concert that she was giving and this happened completely out of the blue. I would not normally cancel any Airbnb booking that I had committed to, but hopefully cancelling it within an hour did not inconvenience guests too much.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Catherine and her charming family. They have a beautiful home and they made us feel very welcome. It is a short walk to the Cotswold Way and to the centre of the lovely town of Cheltenham. We highly recommend a stay with Catherine.
A perfect mix of town and country! On short notice, Catherine and Nigel welcomed us for a one-night stay in their beautiful home, just a two-mile drive from downtown Cheltenham. An old Georgian spa town, Cheltenham offers plenty of shopping, hip restaurants and nightlife, but it's also a great launch pad for exploring the most idyllic parts of the Cotswolds.
Catherine and Nigel are as hospitable as their home is lovely. The room is charming and very comfortable, offering views of their pretty gardens, and a separate bathroom and sitting room provide plenty of privacy. However, we were happy to spend most of our time around their kitchen table, chatting with our hosts, playing with their debonair cat Bertie, and generally feeling very much at home.
Upon Catherine's recommendation, we dined at The Tavern in Cheltenham, which would have given the hippest London gastro-pub a run for its money in terms of food, drink and atmosphere. The next morning, Catherine made us a delicious, full-English breakfast and provided great suggestions of things to see and do during our last day in the Cotswolds.
Overall, a wonderful stay in a beautiful area, thanks most of all to our consummate hosts. I would highly recommend Catherine and Nigel as hosts and hope to stay with them again in the future.
Thank you Catherine for having us to stay for the night. You were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable in your lovely house.
