I can't stress it enough. Diversity friendly Barrio Escalante is THE best location in town. Everything is within walking distance, and you will not have to walk far to find a restaurant of your liking, bars, grocery and convenience stores, pharmacies, hospitals etc. Museums, national theater, central market and parks are all just a 15-30 minute walk away.
