Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
The Ledges Unit is a recently updated home away from home just 2 miles from Killington’s Skyship Gondola. It is only 15 minutes from Killington’s main base area and 20 minutes to Okemo.

The Ledges is a 2 story chalet in a 4 unit building. View sister listings by clicking my Host profile picture below.

The 1st floor has a kitchen, living room with a large stone mantel and wood stove, dining room, and full bathroom. The 2nd floor has 4 bedrooms and bathroom.

The space
The space is a fully separated, two story, four bedroom unit in our four family French Chalet. Your entrance and is behind the building. Parking is right in front of the unit entrance with space for up to four cars.

The home is set back about 100 feet from the main road so it is close enough for easy access to plowed roads yet set back enough so you can hear the brook.

We designed this home to have everything you need for your mountain getaway nestled in 300+ acres of State Forest.

Watching a fire in the wood stove is personally my favorite channel but we also have a smart TV with local channels and streaming available.

The kitchen is fully stocked with basics for cooking and baking as well as many small appliances, oils, and spices.

Cleaning supplies, towels, cozy linens and pillows are also provided for your comfort.

Guest access
The space is a fully separated, two story, four bedroom unit in our four family French Chalet. Your entrance and is behind the building. Parking is right in front of the unit entrance with space for up to four cars.

There is one small locked room on the first floor that is used by us, the owners, as a storage room.

Other things to note
1) HOT TUB- Our Home comes with a large hot tub outside. It is shared with the other 3 units at the house. Typically, each unit takes turns using the tub and everyone has plenty of opportunity to use the tub. We have never needed to close the hot tub but if we do, we will not be issuing a refund. Maintaining and operating a hot tub is VERY expensive and we did not raise any rates when we added the tub. If your group damages the tub, you will be responsible for the cost of extra service and replacement parts.

In booking our home you understand that use of the hot tub is at your own risk. In booking you are agreeing to hold the owners harmless of any injury or death resulting from the use of the hot tub.

2) Madden Brook- Follow your ears and a short walk up the driveway (behind the house) will bring you to the beautiful Madden Brook.

In booking our home you understand that swimming in the brook is at your own risk. In booking you are agreeing to hold the owners harmless of any injury or death resulting from entry to the brook.

3) Hiking- Behind the house there are hundreds of acres of state forest with old logging roads. It’s quite a hike (a few miles) and there are no marked trails; but the Long Trail and Appalachian Trail transect the state forest. There are a whole network of trails in the area. Easiest access is from Shrewsbury Peak Trails located a couple miles south of the house off of Route 100. I’m happy to send you info and trail maps if hiking is something your interested in. There are also several beautiful lakes to check out with a short 5 min drive to the south (off route 100).

In booking our home you are agreeing to hold the owners harmless of any injury or death resulting from any hike recommended by the owners. Each individual should know their limits.

4) Bunk Beds- Safety measures are in place for each bunk bed in our home. In booking our home you are agreeing to hold the owners harmless of any injury or death resulting from use of the bunk beds.

Neighborhood highlights

We love the mountains and we love to ski and hike. The character of this building is truly unique. The previous owner poured his heart and soul (blood and tears) into this home. He designed, cut, milled and built this home himself with lumber from the property. This character, proximity to Skyeship and other activities in the area make this home our forever home. We are so excited to share these private units with vacationers!

My work: Scientist
Speaks English
I'm an environmental scientist with a love for the outdoors. I enjoy every season. My dear friend says "There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad gear." I couldn't agree more. Skiing, kayaking, hiking, camping- I'm in. I want to have as many adventures as possible. We have a wonderful dog, Runa. She is a very well behaved black lab mix (she's all lab- except her tiny ears). Like us, she is happy to run free in the great woods of Vermont so you might see her around our property. We are excited to host folks on their vacations and want to help others enjoy their trip by providing area recommendations and answering any questions. Hopefully our guests feel comfortable, at home and enjoy our lovely home (and Vermont) as much as we do.
