Quiet, village location , own car advisable, peaceful household with dog, share bathroom and kitchen. Ideally placed for people exploring Oxford, Stratford on Avon and the Cotswolds. Handy for temporary workers at JLR and Aston Martin.
I have a lovely, quiet double room in a private house, which is available for you to stay in.
Your room overlooks the garden and beyond that a strip of woodland, very pretty in summer and interesting birds and squirrels in winter! The room is simple but warm and welcoming. There ia a decent sized and very comfortable double bed, a chest of drawers and a compactum. The house has central heating throughout. There is a shared modern bathroom with a bath and shower. Please note that you must be able to tolerate a large dog in the house, she is young and foolish but learning manners, hopefully one day will be as well-mannered as our dear Rose, who passed away last year. Please don't book if you are allergic to dogs.
The house enjoys a quiet situation, is easy to find, has off-street parking, and is detached. Use of the kitchen for breakfast and evening meal is a matter for co-operation! There is a pub that does meals at the bottom of the road and also a good fish and chip shop.
Bishops Itchington itself is a lovely village, approximately 6.5 miles from Leamington Spa. In the village you will find the post office, local pub, and the church. Just outside the village you will find the "Bishop's Bowl," which comprises five lakes on a 100 acres complex, and offers a wide range of fish. There are lovely places to walk within a short drive and all amenities, shops, cinemas etc in Leamington Spa, approx. 6 miles away. There is a bus service from the centre of the village, ten minutes walk away.
Guests have access to their bedroom, shared bathroom, kitchen, living room, garden. In summer there is a pleasant decked area with table and chairs.
Depends on what the guest would like. I live here, so guests are sharing my home. If they are busy, I leave them alone - if friendly, I enjoy a chat.
We are in lovely countryside and within easy reach of lovely towns like Stratford on Avon and Royal Leamington Spa. We are in the middle of the motorway network in the middle of the UK - so easy access from any direction.
There is a (rural) bus service from the village and the railway station is around 6 miles away in Leamington. Guests can be picked up from the station or from Birmingham or East Midlands airports by arrangement.

I had a great time in the little village Bishops Itchington, which is a great place to start visits to many places in England like London, Birmingham, Oxford or Stratford-upon-Avon.
I could enjoy the time I was staying with Anne, James and Cookie.
A very friendly host and I felt comfortable in my room.
I hope to see you again next year. Thanks a lot!
Being with Anne was more than grateful. Lovely woman with a great quietly house. For my first week in UK was clearly the best option.
I'm sure I'm going to visit Anne (website hidden): Lovely Cookie!
We stayed at Anne’s place for two nights and she made us feel like at home. Our room was nice, the bed very comfortable. It was very kind of her sharing with us her kitchen and her dining room. Anne is a nice and helpful host. The location is ideal for exploring the Cotswolds.
I stayed three weeks with Anne so that I could be close to a family member now in a Nursing Home close by. After a very long International flight, Anne was able to pick me up from Birmingham Airport and gave me a wonderful warm welcome. My stay with Anne exceeded all expectations. She is a wonderful warm and friendly host who makes you feel very welcome in her beautiful, clean and peaceful home. Hospitality was five star from the moment I arrived and NOTHING was too much trouble for Anne. Thank you for a truly excellent and most memorable experience ..... I will be back!
Me and Nuri shared our first Airbnb experience with Anne in warwickshire countryside. After being on the road for quite some time, we needed a peaceful place to put our body and soul to rest for a while and got all of that with Anne. We relaxed in the shade of her garden, surrounded by blooming lavender and were happy to be able to use her kitchen and cook our own meals . Having tried quite some beds lately, we can say that the matress at Annes house was a real treat. Anne was a wonderful host, making us feel welcome and comfortable and at the same time leaving us our private space. Would recommend warmly.
Lovely house — wonderful host. Many thanks!!
my stay with Anne was very good. she greeted me with a nice cup of coffee and epitomized English hospitality. she was friendly, accommodating and fun to have a chat with. her dog rose was also great company.
