Small spare room in family house - 1 adult and 1 secondary school age kid. 1 mile from Muswell Hill Broadway; good bus routes to City and West End, and easy access to underground system by bus. Wi-fi available. Sorry, no meals available, but guests are free to use the kitchen if desired.
I stayed for a week while searching for permanent accommodation. Geraldine was a wonderful host and I had a very comfortable stay. We often had pleasant conversation, but she is also very respectful of your privacy. It has all the amenities you should need; wifi, washing machine and full use of a spacious kitchen. The room is small but cosy and warm. It even has a wall mounted TV and a selection of DVD's for viewing. It's in a lovely location with a bus stop a short walk away which will take you all the way into central London or to a local tube station (Highgate). I would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for an enjoyable and very reasonably priced room to stay short term.
Gerry was a lovely Host and this was a great little place to stay for a short visit. The bed and room are small, but cosy and Gerry was so thoughtful and genuine throughout the 2 days. Gerry there is you need anything, but at the same time understands that you need your own space and let's you do your own thing. I would recommend staying with Gerry!
Geraldine was just the perfect host. She made me feel very welcome and gave me any possible tips about London. The room was small but very cosy. The house is very nice and well decorated, I especially liked the modern kitchen where I really enjoyed preparing my meals. The house is situated in a very nice and safe neighboorhood. 2 buses run from here directly to Central London (there was another bus stop departing from the east but I didn't try that one out). The tube station can also easily reached by bus. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommed everyone to stay here.
Gerry is a great host. Her home is warm and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place :)
A lovely, calm room, (I slept very well) in a friendly family home- Gerry and Calum were very welcoming, a true home from home!
Gerry is a great host. I felt like home at their house. She and her son, Callum are very kind and lovely people. If I go to London again, I will happily stay with them. Thank you Gerry
Had a lovely stay with Gerry and her son Callum. Both very welcoming and their home is relaxed and very comfortable. There's a great, easy to use power shower - no messing around to get the right temperature, it's all user friendly!
I also loved the garden which I found very calming and peaceful and great for exercising in too.
This is the fist time I've shared a home for many years so I was a bit nervous but my experience at Gerry's proved to be a very pleasant re introduction!
A big thank you.
Dear traveller,Gerrys house is a great value stay in North London with plenty of good local shops, buses and free safe parking in a good and secure location.I enjoyed my stay immensely and regard Gerry and Callum as both interesting, helpful, kind and unobtrusive towards their guests.Even their friends, whom I passed a little time with, were likewise pleasant and interesting.I do not wish to praise it too much or I will never get a room there again. Thank you Gerry and Callum, I hope to see you soon. Many blessings to you both.
Gerry was a great host, easygoing and made me feel at home right away.
Gerry was a lovely host. She went out of her way to make me feel as comfortable as possible. Thank you for a wonderful stay! See you next time I'm in London!
