I still stay at Howards house and I am still happy :) Everything is fine and Howard is such a friendly and nice person. He also invited me for dinner and he is an amazing cook. He helps me everytime when I need help with something. Looking forward to stay here till October.
Howard is a great host, experienced, organised and reliable. He is a gentleman and lovely thoughtful, intelligent company. My stay with him was a treat - highly recommended!
The accommodation was as described - a home from home, modern comfortable and clean, with a smart bathroom, and a large well equipped kitchen, to prepare meals in.
The secure, lockable bedrooms overlooked a pleasant garden, and open fields. The location is residential and peaceful. It is well served by regular buses, to Weston and a Sainsburys superstore. It makes a great base to explore the pleasant towns of Weston and Worle, along with the surrounding countryside. All made for a relaxing weeks stay.
Howard, kindly met me from my train on arrival, then I had my own keys to come and go as I pleased, affording good privacy. I actually didn't see Howard every day, as he also has a busy social life. He is a, 'cat person', and a skilled musician. I was lucky enough to meet his lovely cats, and also hear a piano rehearsal. Both were additional treats to a great stay I would most happily repeat. Cheers Howie!
Once again, a great friendly stay at Howard's, being invited to meals with his friends which made for relaxing and fun evenings. Howard really puts in an effort to make all feel welcome. And I learnt more about the composing of John Rutter!
Howard is an exceptionally hospitable and informative host and bends over backwards to help with everything - excellent communication and interesting, with a relaxed friendly attitude which so helps with being a guest in his large lovely home.
He has an interesting and busy life which I couldnt keep up with at all!
The kitchen is happily shared with any device you might need and more, lovely modern bathroom and the room is bright, v. clean with lovely views to fields at back, so you feel like you're in the country but with close access to everything - v. frequent bus services & express one to Bristol.
Shared with two elderly cats also, who sleep most of time anyway, their noses taking intermittent trips to food bowls of course......
I liked it so much, I'm going back next week!
See you later Howard and thanks for everything.
Howard was a great host. Staying at his place for 2 weeks was exactly what I needed to escape the hectic city life.
There were other guests in his clean and modern 4-bedroom house, and we got along really well. He takes good care of his guests, and makes sure that they have everything that they needed. His cooking speaks for itself, as his dinner meals are delicious! He is very hospitable as well, with a lot of stories to tell, from all over the world. We even had a Eurovision house party as he is a fanatic of the show, so I had a great time with him and his friends.
His cats were very receptive as well and made us feel that we are of the household. His place is just a 10-minute walk from a big grocery store, and around a 15-20 minute walk to the train station, so it is really convenient. If you are staying in the Weston or Somerset area, Howard's place is very much recommended!
Howard was a great host, very friendly and good source of information about the area and even lent me a O/S map. The room was a fair size, clean and comfortable in a modern 4 bed house. I stayed 2 nights.
Not only was the room just what I needed, and as described, Howard was the perfect host.
It was equally close to the motorway, shopping and local amenities as well as with open countryside on the doorstep.
This realy was a 'home from home'.

Semi-retired secondary school music teacher. Detached house with two spare bedrooms. I live in North Worle. Weston super Mare is a typical Somerset coastal resort and is 4 miles away. 30 minutes on public transport to Bristol.
Into music ( varied tastes from Shostakovich to John Rutter and pop music of the 60s and 70s particularly Cilla and Elton John), eating out, cooking, travel (I love city breaks in Europe..and can't resist a stay on a Greek island), cycling, reading, 20th Century history, walking, visiting cathedrals, tennis and good conversation. I grow a few of my own organic vegetables and try to be environmentally friendly in the house. I regularly visit Brentford FC in London to watch a match.
Living on my own here and the house is shared by my friendly cat called Henley.
No smoking is permitted in the house.
