Great 2 days spent at Howard's, who has been a fantastic host, very welcoming, approachable and and helpful. The room was cosy and comfortable and the bathroom was clean and tidy. Located in a very quiet neighbourhood and overlooking the fields behind the house (Works temporarily ongoing, so the view is currently not as good as it should), the house is located (5 mins off the M5) at a very convenient distance to make it the perfect base to orgsnize your visit to Bristol and North Somerset.
Howard was an ideal host - welcoming and explaining things well. The room was great - comfortable bed, nice view and spotless. The area was quiet but convenient for Weston Super Mare and the surrounding area. I'll definitely stay here again when I am in the area.
Howard is a great and welcoming host. We only stayed for one night but it was a pleasant stay. Had a nice cup of tea and chat with Howard when we arrived. He lives in a quiet area, has a lovely garden and two nice cats.
We had a very pleasant stay and I would recommend it to other airbnb guests.
Howard is an amazing host! Although we only stayed at his place for two nights we had a wonderful time! One night his friends came around and we were invited to join them on a lovely dinner in the garden! Howard was always taking care of us and recommending us where to go. He even gave us tips for places we visited before we came to his place. We really appreciated his help!
Howard is an excellent cook (the desserts were just fab!), his house is very clean and the room very nice. One of the nicest and most caring hosts we had so far! We should have stayed longer just because of Howard!
Howard made us feel very welcome, making sure to be in when we arrived even though it was later hours than are usual being on theatre time. He was warm and chatty and gave us all the necessary information for getting around a new neighbourhood efficiently. His cats are very sweet and the place was clean and quiet with a nice view- great for someone who wants a bit of space from the hustle and bustle of life.
We enjoyed a very short but pleasant stay at Howard's home. He was very friendly and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom are exactly like on the picture and were both clean. We would definitely recommend the place and it was also a good location near Bristol airport if one has to fly out early in the morning like we did.
We needed a place to break a drive from London to Cornwall. We chose the room based on proximity to the motorway (5mins) and the positive reviews. It served out needs perfectly. The double room is small but was clean and very comfortable with a wonderful view over the fields to the rear. There is a clean and functional bathroom. Howard was a great host, he stayed up late to meet us when we arrived and provided us with a hearty vegetarian breakfast before we set off in the morning. He is very easy to get along with and accommodating of all our requests. We would definitely stay again.

About the Host, Howard
Semi-retired secondary school music teacher. Detached house with two spare bedrooms. I live in North Worle. Weston super Mare is a typical Somerset coastal resort and is 4 miles away. 30 minutes on public transport to Bristol.
Guests often comment on the lovely views of the open countryside from both of the bedrooms. Please note that during 2015 there are planned to be some re-landscaping works undertaken in the fields, which will be visible from the rooms.
Into music ( varied tastes from Shostakovich to John Rutter and pop music of the 60s and 70s particularly Cilla and Elton John), eating out, cooking, travel (I love city breaks in Europe..and can't resist a stay on a Greek island), cycling, reading, 20th Century history, walking, visiting cathedrals, tennis and good conversation. I grow a few of my own organic vegetables and try to be environmentally friendly in the house. I regularly visit Brentford FC in London to watch a football match.
The house is convenient for Bristol Ground School ( Clevedon/Kenn) which is about 15 minutes drive up the M5.
Living on my own here and the house is shared by my friendly cats called Henley and Tinsel.
No smoking is permitted in the house.
