About this listing
I am Kyrgyz man living in the center of Bishkek-city.
I stay in three rooms apartment alone and offer one or two rooms for rent. Price is 18 Eu per night (separated bedroom) and 10 Eu per night per person (living room).
The apartment is located in the center of the city, a three-minute walk from the Panfilov Park, a short walk from the main administrative buildings and institutions as the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz Parliament and ministries of education, finance, foreign affairs etc.
The yard, which is my apartment, is unique. In the 70th - 80th of the last century here lived the VIP - representatives of the Communist and Soviet nomenklatura of Kyrgyzstan. You still could feel spirit of those times meeting some old people in the yard. By the way, present leader of the Kyrgyz Communist Party stays here. Maybe because of that we have almost no power outages in a winter time while around Bishkek are rolling blackouts to conserve electricity? :)
In addition, we are only a five minute to walk from the Dubovyi (Oak) Park being the historic center of Bishkek in late 19th and early 20th centuries.
It is very close to a small market, and here are good grocery stores opposite. There is a supermarket (24/7) located in a five-minute walk away.
Also I could advise shoe stores and clothing in the neighborhood for those who need to buy cheap good quality clothes or shoes for a season.
There is also a good hairdresser, which is located in the same building where my apartment is.
Interaction with Guests
Usually I do help my guests with tips related to travelling over Kyrgyzstan.
I could give advices regarding good quality food restaurants and not expensive cafeteria in Bishkek.
I could help you with an info about performances, show, alive band music happening today / tonight and tell you about Bishkek`s night life.
Of course, I will support you in case of emergency providing you links to good medics, police etc.
Etc... Etc... Etc...
Jibek Jolu Avenue is situated almost opposite my apartment`s building and is busy highway. You could go to any direction from the nearest busstops on the avenue. It is a couple of minutes by walk.
You better order taxi cab at any taxi company using my city phone - safety and cheaper then to take private taxi on the street.
Recommended 100% Almaz is a wonderful host!
Wunderbar.
Very central and big room. Very peaceful and very good value for the price. Almaz is also very interesting person and he travelled to many countries. He helped me a lot so its so much better experience than stay in a Hotel. I highly recomend his place.
Almaz is a great and welcoming host!
He helped me with so many things!
Very easygoing guy…
We had fun at his kitchen (which is actually the most important place in his flat) with some of his friends, were singing and chatting till late.
One day we even went out to have lunch at a very good local restaurant!
The place is very nice and i can already tell you guys out there, that you will spend more time here as planned…
Location is quite central, but quiet at nights.
Very good value for money and also wifi worked well!
I hope to come back soon!
We really enjoyed staying with Almaz, he is a great host, and the room is very cozy. He is also a great musician, and we enjoyed going out to see his band play. Overall we had a great time, highly recommended if you ever need a place to stay in Bishkek!
Almaz is amazing! His apartment is very nice--luxurious. He is very helpful. He is fluent in english, Russian and who knows what all?
I spent a comfortable 2 nights, enjoyed Russian soup made by a friend, got directions to wherever I wanted to go. I will definitely stay with Almaz the next time I'm in Bishkek. His room is cheaper than the hostels and much nicer.
Almaz is a wonderful host and I had a great experience staying at his place in Bishkek. The apartment was comfortable, the host was available at all times, the group of guests was friendly and social, and you get excellent value for the price. We communicated mostly in Russian, but Almaz speaks English fluently, too. Would recommend this listing to all travelers!
About the Host, Almaz
Being a worker in some international organizations I understood the world is big and people are very interesting. Trying to get new experience and knowledges, and skills and etc by meeting new person.
I stay in the center of the city close to museums, governmental agencies, restorants and cafe.
I like small home party with friends of mine, we play music and sing popular songs in English, Russian and Kyrgyz; smoke shisha, having fun. Local well-known musicians, artists, actors and actresses, movie makers and journalists visit the party time after time and could help you to learn and understand more deeply our society and Kyrgyz culture...
Since I grew up here I could provide a lot of information for you regarding travel over Kyrgyzstan such as maps, visa information, cafe and restaurants, night clubs, museums and art galleries, local theatre and cinema as well as local rock and blues, jazz and pop, classic and folk music...
I could help in creating your tours over Kyrgyzstan cos I know what is like Bishkek and Kyrgyz provinces - Issyk-kul, Naryn, Osh, Jalal-Abad etc.
