Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
10% off for all military and their spouses. We know customer service, you are one of the family when you stay with us. All of our trailers have heat and electricity. You can charge your phone and laptop. Hotels are available but the Ole RV Park is so much more for so much less, come make a memory!I If you are staying for more than one night; we do offer a propane shower in our laundry room on the property and you can have a campfire outside your door.

The space
We want your experience at our property to be unique, memorable, and special. (Summertime accomodations) One dog is allowed for free (no cats are allowed in the trailer). A second dog is a $20 cash fee. If you have kids we will allow a tent next to camper and we added a small movable fire pit. My wife and I have chickens (eggs are free range/$2.50 a dozen), horses, and dogs. If you want to see horses with an education lesson, we can make it happen, just ask. If you want a campfire serenade with a dutch oven meal; ask, book in advance, and we will make it happen for a reasonable fee. As a host, we rent unique old RV's that are all dry camping (only electricity).
Our third camper (pet free) is available, "The 1965 Santa Fe". It is a taste of New Mexico. It is our honeymoon camper, love is spicy and in the air. The bright colors of curtains and cushions are hand made by my wife. Please just ask, and we will try and accommodate.

*See Edge's NEW Guidebook.
The town of Horseshoe Bend (approx. 730 population) has three excellent restaurants, the Riverside Locking Horns (on the Payette) has live music every weekend in the summer (my wife "Jess Ann"), Ray's Corner Cafe (delicious homemade desserts), and Sonora Mexican Restaurant. Chevron is open until 10 pm with a Subway that closes at 830 pm. Volcano Farms has fresh baked pies and local produce and is located in the Chevron lot. If it is summer ask about jumping off the legendary bridge and boogie boarding on the locally loved fish ladder rapids *both one mile from our property. If it is fall/winter ask about sledding (we have a couple) or get directions to the Southfork Lodge (20 mins. past Garden Valley) in Lowman (just 10 mins. from the Kirkham Hot Springs).

This is country living, rooster crows at 4:45-5 AM. Turtle doves cooing in the morning and quail coveys moving in the evening. Bring binoculars and see deer and elk herds on the hills across the road. We are surrounded by horses and dogs. ATV's roll by on a daily basis. If you drive 18 miles to Placerville on Harris Creek Rd. you drove 17.5 miles too far!!! We are less than a 1/4 of a mile off Hwy 55. We are so close we are on city water and within cell range.
We have several horses (most are forsale). I am a retiree with many fulltime projects. We have a few old campers that are future renovation airbnb hopefuls, including a long 1971 Airstream Land Yacht and a 1966 Cardinal . We started with the 1965 Golden Falcon and added a second Cowboy Bunkhouse, and our third, the 1965 Santa fe (pet free) is available too. We have a NEW Papablue Tiny House (TH) next to the Scavenger TH.

I am retired. My wife is a singer "Jess Ann" formerly of the Lightning River Band and she was a power line clearance foreman. Yes, she used to climb and trim trees for a living. We want your experience at our property to be unique, memorable, and special. My wife and I have chickens (eggs are free range/$2.50 a dozen), horses, and dogs. If you want to see horses we can make it happen, just ask. If you want a campfire serenade with a dutch oven meal, or a two hour river trip (will rent you two one person catamarans $25 each with free transport and shuttle service) on the Payette; ask, book in advance, and we will make it happen. As a host, we rent unique old RV's and tiny houses (TH) (see the Scavenger, TH #2) Our third old RV is the 1965 Santa fe, it has a New Mexico theme. Your critiques have INSPIRED US!!! So my wife and I love to do STUFF! Hiking, fishing, rafting, camping, exploring, shooting, all kinds of outdoor STUFF. But we have not always had a "do stuff" kind of budget. Isn't that what life is about? Doing stuff together that makes memories we can cherish forever?!! My wife is from a really large family.... 10 kids, really large. I know what you're thinking, Catholic or Morman?.... Well it doesn't really matter but she only remembers one family vacation her ENTIRE childhood and they went camping. How sad! Don't let this be your family. Well this inspired us! Do little mini- vacations have to be expensive? No they don't! They can be fun and reasonably priced!! We think we can help you plan your next even if your thinking, "I'm broke on my vacation days." Your kids will think you're rolling in the cash!! Plus, how many places can you bring your four legged family members without paying a huge pet fee?? Helping us be frugal, helps you be frugal too! Wow, the gift that keeps giving... this is a trailer trash version of rags to riches story. Taking old unwanted junky trailers and just having fun with them, making them beautiful and usable again. So first off I want to thank you for your reviews!!! Yes, please keep them coming but PLEASE do not.... :( Give less than 5 stars on cleanliness because you used an outhouse, horses live next door, or the weather caused mud. Now, if there is trash in the outhouse or mud inside your room or your things were not tidy, we would absolutley expect a low score. Our outhouse is pretty awesome and besides that kids like to see poop- and talk about it, so don't discourage them from adding their comments to the Journal- just make sure they can reach the hand sanitizer provided ;). We want you to be pleasantly surprised on the amenities so we purposely do not list all that we provide or can provide. So, if the amenities we listed were to your satisfaction please give us a 5 star rating, and not less than that for amenities not even listed that you didn't even ask for?! (Like microwave, AC) :( Yikes right?! Here are some awesome ways you can help us be frugal so that we can continue to offer overnight stays super cheap... Please keep pets off of decorative pillows and bedding- we cannot keep prices low if we need to replace items so it can be fresh and clean for our next guest. We expect our guest to use amenities we provide but please don't take all of the stocked items home with you when you go. Also, the trailers are small but they can be hard to clean so just be considerate of cleaning staff. We want to keep our prices low so cleaning staff cannot make more than you paid for the night stay, just saying, this is the reason why we encourage cooking outdoors on the BBQ (especially in the winter) or using cleaner energy efficient ways of cooking. Also we provide spring water to drink and in the summer months solar showers, please be resourceful with the solar water it takes time to heat. Also, last but not least any ideas that you would love to see come alive at our little park, please share!!! ;) Happy Camping!! Coming soon "Airbnb Event" the Ole RV Camper Jam and Dutch oven cook off (musicians and camp chefs bring it) :) Our life motto is help when you see an opportunity and be Christlike. WE are fearless in new situations. We love to get our hands dirty and do hard work on a daily basis. Hope to meet you in the future.
