Ideal for mountain views, nature, walking, rock climbing, photography, painting, water sport, fine dining and general rest and relaxation.

Hello!

We are the lucky owners of Field House, in the beautiful Borrowdale Valley. We live in such a breathtaking place, it just felt wrong to keep it all to ourselves. We hope that you love it as much as we do.

Close to Nature

We are lucky enough to live in a naturally stunning place and are very aware of the fragile ecosystems around us.

To keep our carbon footprint as low as possible we try to buy local goods and employ local people as much as possible.

We provide environmentally friendly, plant based detergents and toiletries for you to use, to help protect our delicate aquatic habitats.

As well as our regular litter-picks to collect uncaring litter-bug's waste from our local area, we also have recycling bins for plastic, glass, metal and cardboard

Please help us do our bit for the environment by recycling.
Please, don't drop litter and if you see someone else's, why not pick it up?

We have the most stunning unspoilt panoramic views; amazing walks from the gate; 5 bars with quality restaurants within 1 mile, the closest is 0.2 miles; several excellent tea rooms with homemade fayre in Borrowdale, Grange and Stonethwaite.

I am a very lucky lady that lives in a truly beautiful place. The scenery is constantly changing, even rainy days conjure passion for being here. The seasons and the wildlife make photography so easy here. Before moving here we have visited the Lake District for over 30 years and we can't believe we own our own little bit of the Lake District National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is a magical feel to the place, that is so good for the soul. It just felt wrong to keep it all to our selves and want to share it with you. I hope you love it here as much as we do and you will want to come back year after year.

During your stay

We are on site to help with check in and any maintenance and cleaning issues. We have good knowledge of the area and can advise you on walks and excursions to add to your holiday experience. The bedroom can be made up as a kingsize bed for couples or two 2'6" single beds for friends. Please tell me how you would like the beds configured before you arrive.
