It is a lovely quiet street located a few minutes from the main Shirley High Street, there is a local swimming pool around the corner (Shirley Pool), the central Common nearby and a lovely cafe bar called Santo Lounge which does great food and coffee!
There are plenty of buses into the city centre, 5 minutes walk from the house. The central train station is nearby.
This is a shoes off house :-)
Michelle is the best host! Very friendly and willing to help. The room is small, but cousy, everything you need if you just need a place to sleep :-). There is some information available about Southampton which is very helpful.
Lovely welcoming host, I couldn't have hoped for better!!! Lovely room, as described, absolutely quiet and spotless. Lovely lovely cat... perfect location for me, walking distance from southampton central (25 min). Very lovely experience, highly recommended!
Thank you Michelle!
Michelle is very warm and welcoming. Room was as advertised... convenient location, small but perfect for one. Would definitely stay again. Michelle even offered to put some of my things in her laundry. And she dropped me at the cruise terminal, which saved me a bus or taxi ride with my luggage in tow. A comfy home away from home. Thanks, Michelle
Great place to stay !
Michelle is a very freindly and helpful host !
I really enjoyed my stay during the three weeks at her place ! She made me feel welcome right from the start.
The room is small but comfortable and very functional.
Not even 5 minutes walk to catch the buses into town and the Shirley High street is right around the corner (food and shooping options)
I would definetly recommend to stay at Michelles place !
It was so nice staying with Michelle. Her house has a very welcoming feel to it and Michelle is lovely to have a chat with and I never felt like I was in her way. The room has everything you need. It's small but not ridiculous if I didn't have 2 big bags with me I would have had ample space. Chewy her cat is adorable. This place was perfect for me only a 20 minute walk to the Hospital not even 5 minutes walk to catch the buses into town, many restaurants and food options available in the area.
Michelle is a nice and sweet host. She also prepared a comfortable room with well-equipped facilities! Thank you very much !
About the Host, Michelle
We have a lovely small house in Southampton with two sweet cats. Vegetarian and non-smoker, hard working professionals with a small spare room for those visiting on a 'no frills' basis. In our spare time we like get outdoors for walks, bike rides, and roller skating! The profile pic is when we hiked through Les Calanques in South of France. :-)
