  • The house was fantastic! Panos was very helpful with our traveling arrangements and had great suggestions for restaurants and activities. Breakfast was delicious and the Jacuzzi overlooking the sunset is unbeatable. We would definitely recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

  • The cave house was beautiful and we had a great stay. Panos made sure we had a ride to and from the airport and people to help us with our bags (which was an amazing help up and down all the stairs!). Panos gave us lots of information for where to eat and set up a sailing tour for us, he was incredibly helpful. The only issue we had was with the limited WiFi connection which seemed to be an island wide issue, not specific to the Fishermans' Cave House. I would love to come back and stay here again. Beautiful view!!

  • I absolutely LOVED every minute of my stay at this incredible place. I felt like I was staying in a five-star hotel. The greatest perk of staying in this place was having my own private jacuzzi and patio and the most stunning view. I tremendously enjoyed sitting in the jacuzzi and admiring the beautiful view of the ocean and mountains. What could be better? The bed was very comfortable. I also loved having breakfast delivered every morning. The food, especially the bread and yogurt were absolutely delicious. There was also cleaning service, and the woman really cleaned the place well. Even though the host was not present, he and I communicated frequently through emails throughout my trip. He was extremely helpful - he booked taxis for me and also listened to my request about getting breakfast delivered earlier one morning so that I could catch a morning boat tour.

  • This place is amazing. You just can't beat the view because it is straight on to the sunset and is private. So you don't have to fight for elbow space! The bed is very comfortable and the shower is fantastic. The wireless internet was super fast and never cut out for me (I used it all day during studying). The air conditioning was superb. We didn't use the upstairs bedroom. Panos was quick and responsive to any messages we sent and his staff were nice to work with. Breakfast is prompt everyday with a pleasant spread of breads, jams, fruits, and yogurt. Would definitely stay here again.

  • What a beautiful place to stay! Set aside ( a short walk down stairs 2-3 minutes away from the main walkway in Oia) this is a very nice quiet/private place to stay. Best view for sunset (needn't go anywhere but outside your front door to watch it every night). There are two beds one is perfect for 2 people & other is good for one). Easy access to Amoudi Bay (5-10 min down stairs to harbor). This is a great place for dinner at least once for fresh fish/seafood. I really appreciated the daily breakfast-very yummy, fresh & Greek! Cleaned daily & Panos is helpful/responsive for anything. I'd definitely stay again! Thanks!

  • Beautiful place! Sunset view is stunning, and the sound of bells from donkeys walking up from the harbor is quaint. Wi-fi signal is good. Panos was very helpful in assisting with transportation to and from the hotel. Cost we paid was $25 each way. The number of stairs it took to get to the house was not an issue for us. It was actually nice in that it made the place feel more remote. Note that the jacuzzi is a warm jacuzzi and NOT a hot one. However, this isn't a problem if you're just using it during the day when temperature is warm. It was too cold for us to use at night though. Anyway, that would've been useful info to know ahead of time. Overall, would still highly recommend!

  • Our stay here at The Fisherman's Cave House was truly a dream come true! We loved the house and felt as it we were at home our entire stay. Yannis was very helpful with taking our bags down the many stairs (which by the way were not a problem and worth the privacy) when we arrived and departed. Panos came to greet us our first day despite the fact he had just flown in from Crete himself. He gave us a warm reception, answered all our questions and provided a lot of great suggestions for meals and non tourist sites to explore. A delicious and healthy breakfast was left for us every morning by a sweet young woman who also came in to make sure the place was clean and tidy every day.

In addition to staying in such a wonderful place, the arrangements made for pick up from Ferry Port and drop off at the airport, and the many services offered from the kind staff, Panos graciously agreed to mail brand new shirts i had bought specifically for this trip as well as a couple shirts purchased in Greece back to my home in the U.S. Very accommodating!

We would definitely highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to stay in one of the most beautiful places in the world and hope to make The Fisherman's Cave House an annual place to stay and visit.

  • We could not have been happier with our choice of staying at the Fisherman's Cave House. Panos was very informative about the history of the area and advised us on restaurants to try and places to see even outside of Oia.
We totally underestimated the number of steps to get to the house but it was well worth the trek. The house was well kept and is just as pictured on the website. The hot tub was a nice bonus relax in after a day of sight-seeing and hiking up and down the stairs.
Every evening people would arrive by the bus loads and perch on the wall at the top of the hill to watch the picturesque views of sunsets in Oia. We watched too - only from our own terrace every night while relaxing with a glass of wine.
We only had 5 nights in Oia so we would love to come back and visit again.
Thank you Panos an your team for making our 25th wedding anniversary a memorable one.

Hey, I am Panos from Greece, after studying, and working in Athens and other European cities in earlier years,I realized I would rather spend a bigger part of my time and everyday life in a more natural and simple environment,.. and here i am , in this unique island!I decided to carefully renovate two cave houses in Oia, Santorini, offering my guests exactly what i would expect to be offered in such a location,a beautiful place to stay literally between heaven and sea, respecting traditional lifestyle but yet offering the touch of luxury necessary, isn't it where the essence of holidays in the Mediterranean lies after all??
