Interaction with Guests
We live in the house and we will be here to welcome you. We are happy to interact as much or as little as you wish. We have sat for hours with some guests chatting away to the wee small hours but we also understand that some guests prefer privacy and we respect this also.
Our house is accessible from the road (B9006) to Culloden Battlefield and the street backs on to adjacent farm land. There are stunning views to the North across the city, the Kessock Bridge and the mountains beyond.
There is good access to public transport with a regular bus service to Inverness city centre which has an extensive choice of restaurants and shops. The bus stop is a 3/4 minute walk from our house. There is a large convenience store and food takeaway / chip shop nearby and a large supermarket 3 miles away, en route to the city centre. Culloden Moor Inn and Restaurant, the Battlefield and the Visitor Centre are less than 5 mins away by car.
Other Things to Note
We have a small lovable Shi Tzu dog and a Birman cat. They do not have access to guest bedrooms.

None, other than to please treat our house as you would treat your own.
I had a wonderful time staying with Margaret and Callum. Their home is comfortable, warm and a true haven from the Scottish weather. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Margaret was a lovely host and we had a wonderful time for the 2 nights we were there.
The room was warm, clean and very comfortable.
The breakfast in the morning was filling and delicious and Margaret went out if her way to make sure we everything we needed.
Their gorgeous dog was an added bonus and she enjoyed lots of pats from us, although if you aren't a dog lover you don't have to worry as Margaret makes sure she doesn't disturb you.
Overall a great stay and we would definitely stay again!
Margaret made us feel so welcome from when we arrived, and couldn't do enough for us - even getting up early to give us breakfast one morning. The room was fantastic, super comfy bed and everything we needed.
Margaret and Calum warmly welcomed us even though we arrived late in the evening. It was the perfect stay, a 5-star experience--everything from check in, breakfast, playing with the dog, towel warmers, a temperature-controlled room, and the list goes on. It was difficult to leave. Margaret anticipated all our needs even before we asked--truly a mark of a gifted superhost. The neighborhood was peaceful and relaxing--sheep grazing nearby and a view of the loch. Culloden Moor Inn restaurant nearby was good. More than a B&B, it was home and haven.
This lovely home was an absolute delight to stay in during our 3 nights in Inverness. We could not have felt more welcome if we were family members. Margaret greeted us, made us feel at home with tea and homemade scones and introduced us to her mother and brother. She was attentive to our needs and helped with directions, suggestions and reservations. Breakfast was plentiful and graciously served in her dining room. Calum even gave us a lift into Inverness one evening. The neighborhood is very pleasant and quiet. It is quite near Cullonden Battlefield and Cawdor Castle. Our en suite room was spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable. This B&B was the highlight of our 3 weeks in Ireland and Scotland. Wonderful!!!
Margaret's home and rooms are fit for a king. The perfection of her decor is beyond description. The location of their "palace" is in a neighborhood with lots of green space and sunshine. Our hostess was cheerful, helpful and generous. We were there for two nights and wished we had more.
We had a really lovely stay with Margaret and Calum. We were offered tea/coffee as soon as we got there. Breakfast was really nice and at whatever time you want, Margaret had everything ready for the time that you both agree on. Would highly recommend staying here without a doubt.

I am Margaret and I am renting out a few rooms I have available in my property in Inverness, Scotland. We have named our house Fasgadh, which is Gaelic for haven or shelter (my husband Calum and I are both native Gaelic speakers) and we strive to provide a safe and comfortable haven for all of our guests.
We look forward to welcoming you to Fasgadh!
