Sleeping in a beautifully-appointed, restored horse stable was a different Airbnb experience because the lodging was a totally private, converted stable block, unattached to the main house. Hostess Jennifer met us in the parking area, showed us the room, reviewed the next morning's breakfast (bread/croissants/cereals) already laid out on a hallway credenza with milk and packaged juice in the small fridge. Even though it was not listed as an amenity, we asked about the availability of WiFi. She stated the connectivity was an issue. But she did offer to have us use their home if we were unable to connect in our lodging. As described in the listing, the TV is not connected to cable but rather worked with 'rabbit ears' that had to be adjusted with each change of channel. The shower temperature and water flow were a bit dodgy as the power shower was not operating properly. "Personal connections" with Jennifer unfortunately were not part of this stay, but we did enjoy speaking at length with her handyman, Tony.
All in all we had a good night's rest in a converted stable and went on our way.
Lovely accommodation in a beautiful rural setting. Clean, comfortable and very well looked after. We'll definitely be back!
Such a wonderful stay, the area is beautiful and Jen gave us a very warm welcome even though we arrived quite late in the evening. The room was very comfy, warm and a real home from home, we really liked the little touches like the hot water bottles! Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Absolutely beautiful ... faultless.
Lovely room, comfortable bed .... home from home.
Hi Jenny and Bob
Just a short trip this time to pick up some office files from the storage firm in Cambridge. We have been a few times now and we greatly enjoy staying in this room. It is the best by far in the area. Many thanks ..Alastair and Felicity.
This is my favourite type of B&B! Clean, cozy, comfortable, quiet and peaceful (we heard the dog and the cat a few times, but that didn't bother us at all) and decorated with good taste. Jenny is a very friendly host. We were staying here because of a dental appointment in Bedford, but I wouldn't mind coming back for vacation. Lovely place, highly recommended.
I spent a relaxing and comfortable night in Jennifer's converted stable. Jennifer was friendly and welcoming and made sure that I had everything I needed. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed and the quiet location was the perfect place for a good night's sleep after a long day of driving. I would definitely stay here again.

About the Host, Jennifer
Live in rural Bedfordshire and have both dogs and cats. Very quiet environment with no reliable public transport so crashpadders would need transport. Live with husband, Bob. We have 2 daughters. Both are married and live and work in London. We enjoy meeting new people.
