Welcomed by Jasmit in the evening -- but I was out in 15 minutes going to a dinner. In the morning I had to leave long before the rest of the house was moving -- so I saw no one. But Jasmit provided just what I needed -- somewhere to get a quick sleep
Jasmit was a lovely host. She was waiting when I arrived and gave me an extensive tour. She also has a washer and a *dryer*, so laundry was easy during my week long stay.
The location is quiet and convenient, if you like walking and/or mass transit. It's about 20 minutes from the train station by foot or 10 minutes by bus. There is a covered bus stop right out front as well.
One thing to know is that the walls a quite thin. It wasn't a problem as Jasmit is quiet, but I wouldn't stay here if *you* plan to be loud.
I would definitely stay again. Recommended.
I came over for an interview, so I didn't stay long. But I was generally very happy with everything.
I had a very short stay, but Jasmit was great, very down to earth and understanding. I have to go back to Cambridge next week and I m going back to her place. I think that says it all! ;)
Although I didn't have time to stay with Jasmit, she was good at communicating quickly.
Jasmit was very nice and helpful. I enjoyed my stay very much. She had clean sheets and towels for me to use and space in the fridge. She has a beautiful backyard with a table. The room is what you see in the picture, it is small and the bed is small but it is clean and comfy. If you are a really tall person you may not be comfortable though. She also let me lock my bike in the garage which was nice. I would stay here again for sure!
Cosy house with an off road parking space. Jasmit is very welcoming and kindly fitted in with my arrival time. I had a problem with the mattress which I found uncomfortable. Jasmit gave me some nice soft padding for it which resolved the issue. She told me later that she had ordered a new one. Small room as described with a good WiFi signal. Good value, lovely hostess.
Jasmit was a really warm and friendly host (and so were her two dogs) :) I would recommend her cosy room and would definitely stay again if I return to Cambridge!
I stayed with Jasmir for about a week and a half, and it was lovely. Jasmir is friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, the kitchen was great, and it's an easy 45 minute walk (or quick bus trip) to the colleges. I would certainly stay here again.
After about 9 days at Jasmit house, I'm just following the huge amount of positive reviews. It was a big pleasure staying at this place and also have actually interesting conversations with her. The room is nice, but I also enjoyed the nice garden & big kitchen. You should also recover at the garage your own bike.. The house its located no more 15/20 min by bus or by bike to get to colleges and universities area. Its also very close by Addenbrooke Hospital. I think this one is a very good advice accomodation for clinical doctoral research fellows or similar.
