PLEASE before booking, put a picture of your face on your profile. All of my guests have been wonderful guests until now. Two bad apple (couple of guests) recently decided to do some bad things in my apartment. I have had wonderful experience with Airbnb during the last year and I know most of you out there are great respectful people. Thanks.
No smoking under any circumstance. Be respectful to me and others.
I find it really interesting about the surrounding. At first I thought people seem scary. But it's cool when no one care about you and it's fun actually to see people around there hanging down the street. Jose was very helpful and so do Smaria when she answers every question and text I sent her. It' takes 1 and a half block to the train station which is quite close for me. Thanks for the host, Smaria!
Me and my friends loved this place. At first we thought that we rented just the room, but Smaria and her nephew Jose left us the whole apartment for almost 10 days, which gave us plenty of space and privacy. The apartment was clean, so were the sheets and towels they provided us. The bed is amazing, and the bathroom has a pretty good shower. The neighborhood was loud until late night during the weekends, which is a price to pay for the convenience of staying in Manhattan. Highly recommended, it was a very good option for the price.
We have 3 ppl and had an enjoyable stay at Smaria's house. However, we did not have chance to meet her. We just met Jose who is her nephew for the 1st day of our stay. I must say that it was overall a great experience. Jose is very caring and helpful. The apt is OK and we have everything we need. The subway is about 5 mins walk and it is easy to access to NYC. Next time if we come back to NY, we would like to stay here again.
Two of my friends and I decided to go on an adventure and explore New York City. I stumbled upon this apartment and Smaria's area felt like home to me. The price was very honest and straight forward. I didn't get to meet Smaria but we had no problem settling at the apartment. It's nice and secure. You will enjoy the stay. It's a little far from the city but once you get the hang of the subway functions you're pretty much set to go and We were able to do a lot of activities. My only suggestion is to prepare for the day if you're planning to go to the city. Get your backpack and water, because your experience in New York City will change your life.
I never actually had to the chance to meet Smaria. Jose, her nephew, however, was really hospitable. It's a cool little apartment; convenient stores across the street are open late, and the subway close by.
Ms Smaria's place is a good place to stay. Easy access to subway and close to grocery store. Ms Smaria also provides two extra air mattresses for my stay. Her nephew, Jose, is a friendly guy. I would recommend her place for backpackers wishing to travel in NYC.

About the Host, Smaria
I always wanted to help others to look better, so I work in a Spa as a manager where I can do what I enjoy the most. I am a mom and hard worker. I'd love to travel to new places and meet new people, something I haven't done lately. Hopefully, next year I can do that.
Well, I love this city and I hope you do as well. If you have any question, feel free to contact me.
