Fantastic apartment! Salvador was a great host, easy to contact and supplied us with all the info we needed for an easy check-in and check-out. We loved the location - fantastic bakery (best granola and yoghurt), beautiful traditional sushi restaurant and a gorgeous champagne bar, all within a couple of minutes walk and plenty of other restaurants and convenient stores nearby. Lovely neighbourhood walk to Hiro-o subway. A great first experience with airbnb.
This is a brilliant place to stay!!! The location is fabulous and the apartment has everything you could need.
Salvador was the perfect host who was very attentive to our needs.
We had a great time at the Loft. Salvador's information was detailed and accurate and we had no trouble finding the place. It is as described - a huge amount of space for Tokyo! The neighborhood is fantastic, quiet and peaceful, but with plenty of cafes and restaurants within an easy walk. I will say that the apartment is really only suitable for adults or families with older children - our kids are 6 and 8 and they were ok, but I would be worried about younger children on the concrete floors, and there are several features like large glass doors which we wouldn't let our kids anywhere near!!
It's a great space, though, and it's well worth visiting the tiny bar downstairs - the owner/bartender is magical to watch, and it's a great atmosphere.
We had a very good experience with the apartment. It's very spacious, modern and high tech. It has everything we need while staying there. The location is convenient. It is in a neighborhood we are very familiar with so we can get around quite easily. The bathroom does take a little to get used to.
We had a great time staying at the Loft in Hiroo. The location of the apartment was wonderful. We loved the close proximity to Shibuya, Harajuku, local restaurants, shops and two train stations. The City Bakery (around the corner) became our morning regular. We couldn't get enough of their pretzel croissant (amazing) and good coffee.
The apartment is very modern and styled beautifully with designer furniture. It has everything you need for a Tokyo stopover. My husband and I stayed there with our two teenagers who slept comfortably on futons in the living area.
Salvador was a great communicator, responding quickly to any correspondence. I highly recommend staying here while in Tokyo.
Salva's loft was such a treat to stay in. Beautiful minimalist design. Balconies with a panoramic view of Tokyo. A unique shower/bath set up. An loft-wide sound system and fun lights. It was an adventure exploring all the features of the space. Check-in was very easy; we were able to do so on our own time. Salva was extremely responsive. Staying here was stress-free and magical. Highly recommend if you want a more luxury Tokyo experience.
To anyone looking for a fantastic Tokyo experience this property is a must. The apartment is fantastic, very very large and open and well done.
The area surrounding I feel in-love with (Ebisu/Hiroo). So many great food places - combined with a mellower vibe makes this place a dream come true. This is not on the "classic" tourist path but instead you see and experience an area that even Tokyoites are jealous of. Be warned and enjoy, as with most of Tokyo, wondering around you see and have coffee next to スマトラ (chic) looking people that know style and dress - I found myself taking 30 minutes longer to get ready just to fit in :)
I stayed 1 month and it was fantastic. For those looking for night life, trains shut down at 12:00, so walking distance is important - Shibuya is a doable walk at late night hours (went to club womb a couple times) as is Roppongi. Take a tip - go to Roppongi last train ride from Hiroo and go to club Feria from 12:00 to 5am. A taxi is cheap considering how close your are and the place is great for expats. For those with music likes Womb was the best as was the dancing vibe.
Omotesando is just two stops care of Ebisu station and Harajuku station. Dry cleaners around the area make work/business easier as you can get your shirts ironed and dry cleaned right down the road. If you're here for work like I was Mon-Fri the Hiroo station is one stop from Ropoongi & two stops from Kamiyacho.
Around the area visit the many of the niche restaurants - I'd recommend Afuri for ramen, if your out late, Mercer Dis if you want a cafe latte and delicious cake, m-cafe up around Ebisu beer museum for fantastic Eggs Benedict, Hiroo curry, and so much more.
Salvador is a great host - and always responsive. If I had the money I would buy this house in a heartbeat and be happy the rest of my life. I cherish all my moments and have been bitten by the beautiful city and culture.
