Amazing view on the sea and next door important famous bathings estabilishments and restaurants( "Scoglio delle Sirene", "Canzone del Mare" , "Gioia" " Bagni Internazionali") naturally closed during the winter. The free beach is crowed only from 10.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.. The house has a typical old architecture of fisherman's residence and is ideal for who wants stay near the beach but easily reach the centre... The house is lovely in all the periods of the year if you are a lover of the sea and you like swiming in winter too , if you like only staying to contemplate the beauty of the sea also when there are wild waves and the sky is grey and you can hear nothing else than screeching of the seagulls. During the winter some of the sities are closed(Grotta Azzurra,Tiberiu's Villa...)but Capri offers always something, just like in Christhmas the Capri's Hollywood festival or only to go walking and seeing the fascinating landscapes of the island.

Interaction with Guests
I communicate costantly with my guests through email , messages with cell and WhatsApp but unfortunately not always I'm on place because I live and work in Naples but if necessary I reach them. Especially I meet them when they are longer time more not just a couple of days
The place is paradise out of the wordliness but not so far as to reach it easily. The place offers unforgettable views and beaches around are breathtaking especially at sunrise and sunset
you got the bus up the square (about 5-10 ride euro 1.80 each) or taxis as well. The bus and taxi stop is very close to the house, just up the stairs . At the beach next door you can book boats for the day tours
Other Things to Note
The flat is small and no extra luxury. But you'll find everything you need
You can use the terrace up the house, by mutual common. Not stain the laundry , take off the rubbish from the kitchen and the bathroom and switch off the lights when you go away
Our last stay in Italy was at Marina's humble abode. The house itself is a cute little place with everything you need and was the perfect space for just the two of us. Next door to it, there is a cafe called El Merendero. We do recommend it as we went there everyday during our stay, they always took good care of us and the food was good and reasonably priced. Our favorite part of Marinas home was the location. The beach is literally footsteps from the house and we enjoyed having it as our front yard for a couple of days. Mostly everything closes down early in the Marina Piccola area so there were plenty of times where we walked to capri using the stairway/pathway, instead of using the bus.
Thank you so much !! You have deeply understood the spirit and the value hidden of Marina's abode : imperceptible humble and to find everything you need to be really one step away from Paradise... the one step is to be able to move with your feet and after have been at the top discover the paradise is here next door.
We were sooooo happy with our stay in Capri. Marina was so helpful and kind. Of all the places I've been to in Italy, Capri will always have a special place in my heart because the beach of marina piccola was where I got engaged. Defiantly stay here for peaceful vacation.
Marina was fantastic, always communicated promptly and was very flexible with arrangements. On arrival she offered us a meal of freshly caught fish cooked by her husband. Unfortunately we could not accept as my partner is vegetarian ( I was very dissapointed! : ) overall our welcome was very warm, and arrangements for moving in perfectly suited to our requests
Marina's apartment was perfect and located right on the beach! I arrived with a bottle of wine offered by Anthony. The views were simply amazing and would definitely love to stay again.
First of all, the location of this apartment is absolutely AMAZING. It is located outside of the main touristy part of Capri and is right on the beach. The photos seriously do not do this place justice. We had our trip at the end of May, so it wasn't peak tourist season. Great weather during the day and a bit on the colder side at night, which was fine for us. Marina was absolutely lovely and accommodating to us. She let us drop off our luggage early (before our check-in time) and then also keep our luggage late (after our check-out time) so that we could continue to explore the island without our luggage before departing to Salerno via ferry.
In terms of getting around the island, Marina's house is just steps away from a bus stop that will take you into the center of Capri, where you can pick up alternate buses that will take you to Anacapri, etc.
One thing to note, at least in the off-season, the area around Marina's lovely house pretty much shuts down when the sun goes down. So if you want to go to a later dinner, you'll likely have to go into the center of Capri.
We would definitely recommend Marina's apartment!
Couple – aged 29, 30 – 3 nights, 4 days in Capri – Stayed May 2015
-We did not get to meet Marina unfortunately, but she was always very accessible by email and quick to respond.
-Check in was a bit confusing as we had to figure out where the key was in order to leave our luggage on the terrace but we eventually figured it out. It would have been easier if someone had been there waiting for us but we arrived early so we had to hang out at the beach for a few hours. Once we were able to check-in, Marina had left all kinds of packaged snacks, jams, crackers and a bottle of white wine. Very nice of her.
-Marina offered a home cooked meal by her husband. If this is an option for you – TAKE IT! He cooked one of our favorite meals of the entire trip. 6 course dinner, including wine with freshly caught fish. He set up a beautiful romantic dinner on the terrace and it was so quiet and peaceful, felt like we had the island to ourselves. All for only 35 euro! Overall, a wonderful experience.
-The description is pretty accurate; so don’t expect the luxury of the Ritz. It is after all an old fisherman’s house, but it has a unique charm that we really enjoyed. It is fully equipped and left us with the feeling of true Italian culture.
-The kitchen has enough to get by, but we only had breakfast in the apartment. If you are planning on cooking every meal inside, it might be difficult for you.
-The location is fantastic! Only steps from the beach and an easy 5-10 minute bus ride to the busy tourist areas.
-During the day, the beach can become quite crowded as it is small, however when the sun goes down, it is like a ghost town. I suppose if you travel during the months of July or August it would be much busier.
-When you look out your window, you see the most incredible water colour from the ocean. Really felt like paradise.
-The (email hidden) next door (el merendero) are extremely friendly. We tipped them well but they put a little extra in our drinks and always served us well.
-We did NOT have good service (or pricing) from the restaurant delle sirene - 12 euro for 2 espresso and 20 euro each for beach chairs. Avoid this place.
-Make sure you tell the taxi driver to take you to the Marina Piccola bus terminal. We had to walk down stairs and winding roads until we finally found the place. Although when you do finally reach the end of the road, there are still another set of steps you need to carry your luggage down. If you have heavy luggage and are not physically fit, you might have a problem.
Thank you to have appreciated the place.
Unfortunately, as already I explained, the day of your arrival there was a great confusion with key created by the checkout of previous guests who forgot the time and arrived until much later . As you know, my husband had been there waiting for you at my place because I couldn't.
In exchange I offered you the possibility to stay later your checkout to excuse me the troubles.
I think the kitchen is enough to cooking every meals inside. I used it for four us and also for dinner with a lot of friends of mine. It is proportionate to the space the little house offers . It is perfect for a couple certainly not for a restaurant of an hotel!
I'm sorry for the use of the terrace. It is very clear in the description that the terrace is in common use since it is part of the other side of the house where , when we are there ,we have to use it but we leave open access for guests when we go away. I'm sorry you were a little time and it was busy. But the balcony of their own guests is equally romantic and perhaps more intimate.
I'm very sorry for the prices so exaggerated from restaurant scoglio delle sirene
I do not suggeses most anyone.
You were right that you got the wrong address so the taxi driver left you at the wrong stop. Now I made more clear in my indications that the right stop is the last one to the Marina Piccola bus terminal.
Thank you to appreciate the wine I had left for you... shame you have spilled it on the terracotta floor staining hopelessly , I tried to clean it with acid. But don't worry I HAVE NOT MENTIONED THE INCIDENT IN YOUR
REVIEW ! Have a good summer.
Marina, this was an exceptional short vacation - we did not expect anything like it: you and Pierpaolo did a fantastic job as hosts. Your house is small but extremely charming, the beach is right in front of you, the nights are quiet - sleeping to the tunes of nothing but the sea and the wind. Thinking of the three-course dinner that Pierpaolo prepared for us is still mouth-watering for us. The images of beautiful Capri and Marina Piccola will remain in our heads for a very long time! Thank you so much.
