The space

The Dutch Touch captures the best Woodstock has to offer. Be in the Village and secluded at the same time!

This Woodstock treasure is surrounded by gardens, with Monet-worthy views, peaceful mountains and swaying pines. It’s your cozy and peaceful home away from home, yet only a short, pretty walk to the very center of the village.

Dutch Touch is the "brain-child" of artist, Manette van Hamel, an early Woodstock arts colony resident whose work is held in the permanent collection of the Met.

The kind of place one would expect an artist to build:
Perfect for a romantic get-a-way or solo retreat. Recline on your own deck beside a sparkling stream, soak up the sun, read a good book, or walk into town and visit the galleries and shops, or zip up the mountain for hikes, a visit to the Buddhist Monastery or a tour of the Byrdcliffe arts colony. Winter visitors will love the open fireplace, and the fresh winter scent of forest, hearth and home.

A short 5 minute walk to the village green. A perfect get away. roomy and cozy at the same time. You cannot find anything better. The owner was there to greet us as we arrived. Communication was excellent. Private and pleasant. We would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I spent a great long weekend at Martine's Woodstock cottage. The cottage is the perfect size for 2 people (and a pet). It is very close to town so we were able to check out all the local restaurants and shops without having to worry about driving and parking. Martine and her husband were amazing hosts, they were very kind to us and very sweet with our dog Chompy. We would love to come back soon!

This is a great place to stay. Beautifully decorated and very atmospheric. It has everything you need and Martine is really friendly and helpful. She even gave us a couple of lifts because we didn't have a car!

Martine's cottage was perfect for a quick weekend trip to Woodstock and the Catskills. The location was also super convienent---only a 7 minute walk from the center to town! We didn't meet Martine in person but she was very easy to communicate with through the app.

Lovely, scenic, setting. Cottage overlooks a creek. There is a stone patio with table and chairs right out the sliding glass doors of the cottage that overlooks the creek. Perfect for 1 or 2 close people. Less than 10 minute walk into downtown Woodstock. Recommend, for sure.

Martine's property was adorable and her hospitality was warm. Just a short walk from the Woodstock center, we loved the location. The guest house was private and peaceful, a place we'd love to return to.

I have danced all my life, and still do perform, and teach ballet. Kevin and I live in NY city and part time in Woodstock. There we live in the house my parents moved into when they retired. Now it has become our Paradise. I like to garden, cook, and spend time delighting in the surroundings. All this keeps us very busy, and happy.
