Pat was a wonderful host, she made us feel like VIP. The other reviews I read before booking my trip understated how great the breakfasts were, scratch made every morning. Every night's rest was quiet and peaceful. You do not get these two things in any chain hotel. Also, when was the last time your host went hiking with you?
Pat was very flexible, and while we had to cancel at the last minute, she was graceful and communicative. We look forward to rebooking with her soon.
What a cute farmhouse! Pat obviously put a lot of work into the restoration of this old farmhouse. The bedroom I stayed in had a comfortable queen size bed with nice fluffy pillows and a beautiful quilt. She made me tea when I arrived and offered up some snacks. I had to do a little computer work and she offers free wireless. Then I read for awhile in the living room by the soft glow of lamps and candles. Breakfast the next morning was outstanding- eggs, sausage, roasted potatoes, warm freshly made applesauce, tomato/mozzarella salad, and freshly made scones with powdered sugar on top. Yum! All in all a very nice experience.
Pat was the greatest host we could imagine. Although she had a lot of work with planning a wedding we never got the feeling to dusturb.
We became a little part of the family.
Of course we have to mention the absolutly wonderful and large brakfest we got every morning. We got the feeling beeing King and Queen!
Thank you for this warm welcome.
She was always there and fulfilled our wishes.
We hope to see Pat again!
I loved our experience at this farm house. The photos don't do the place and the decor justice. The rooms are quite spacious. I went with two other friends, so we had two rooms total and shared a bathroom. The place is very charming, cozy, and clean. I slept really well. I felt like I was staying in a bed and breakfast. I mentioned to Pat I was facilitating a retreat for a non-profit board at the nearby state park and she made my group a delicious blackberry/blueberry cobbler in the morning. Pat was incredibly flexible and attentive.
Pat is a very gracious hostess. The breakfasts were terrific and even a to go bag. The bed was comfy. We were thankful too for advice about the area.
